Abundance Seekers

“As you sit quietly in My Presence, remember that I am a God of abundance.”

Jesus Calling. Sarah Young ISBN978-1-59145-188-4 Thomas Nelson
Publisher. Nashville, TN. pg. 144.

God of abundance.

The Western World, particularly America, consistently seeks abundance. More. More. More. The consensus often is what we have is not enough. Marketing ads on every media source confirms, entices just one more, this one more thing will satisfy.  It doesn’t for hardly a moment.

Abundance. Abundance we have, don’t you think? No other generation in American History has had so much abundance; of things, of stuff, of resources, of technology, and I dare say discontentment and much more as equally unsatisfying.

Why?

19 And my God will liberally supply (fill until full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 (AMP)

Liberally supply. That’s abundance with a capital A. I do see a qualifier though: need. What are my needs? What will I die without? Air, water, food, and shelter from the elements. Do I have that? Liberally!

Shall I tell you what caught my attention after God of abundance? Of course I shall! :)
As you sit quietly in My Presence.

So that’s the reason media ads are so successful! We consistently hungrily sit open-mouthed with extended hands collecting our wants as we consistently refuse to take our needy souls and sit quietly before the ONE who liberally gives, liberally supplies our every need!

Wow! I think I’m done.

Day 139

Coffee

Day 32
334 remaining after today.

We experienced the movie War Room again this evening. The turn out was really good for a little place in Lower Alabama on a Sunday evening. We laughed, we cried

and now it’s time to practice what we viewed.

And wouldn’t you know it – when I came to Scripture this is the verse that presented.

18 as you pray at all times, with all kinds of prayers and requests, in the Spirit, vigilantly and persistently, for all God’s people. [source] Ephesians 6

vigilantly and persistently

The Word doesn’t say perfectly but with His help we can vigilantly and persistently pray. There is certainly no lack for matters to pray over.

So how’s your prayer life?
Mine needs some heating up.
No room temperature coffee for me!

ABBA, as in the movie was the request that You would raise up warriors; warriors in prayer. Make it so, ABBA, even here at The White Stone. Open a War Room here. Open our hearts here and our mouths to pray and mentor in Yeshua’s name.

What Things

Day 27
339 remaining after today.

I visit other blogs, not as often as I envision I should. I did that today, this one: Blessed Unravelling. Wendy Munsell. Her post today was Called to be Brave. Perhaps you’d like to read it too.

One particular verse Wendy gave me today sparked and so I am writing.

37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. [source]

In all these things. And there I stopped my note taking and came here.

In all these things. What things? And how many what things?
All.
All?
All!

How many what things can you name? And when you name them what else does the Text say?

we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us

We overwhelmingly conquer.
We conquer?

We conquer overwhelmingly!
We overwhelmingly conquer  THROUGH HIM!

Though Him, that One that we are in covenant relationship with, JESUS the Messiah, we overwhelming conquer ALL what things!

This is helping, loving and doing my soul some good today!
That some good today is said slowly with some Southern oomph, if you know what I mean.

I was going to hash some of my what things here but now it doesn’t seem necessary. :)
