You didn’t hear much from me this morning with my Sunshine post. Sometimes it happens that way. BUT this early afternoon when I read just the name of Elaine’s post I knew it was going to be one that I needed – big time!

This is one of the sentences that stopped me in my reading tracks:
In Egypt, obedience is mandated. In Canaan, obedience is chosen.
The world, the Evil One and my flesh, DEMAND that I obey them. And sad to say, I often – oh to my shame – often, is too shallow a description of the times I obey: it, him and the natural KT. BUT look at that lovely word c h o s e n! Our entrance to and our remaining in Canaan is built on choosing. We find FREEDOM when we choose and BONDAGE when we bow to demands.
