Found!

Thank You, LORD, I have awaken to another day; a rainy, lovely, Lower Alabama day.

A Guidepost devotion, November 1, 2018 written by a man speaking of his brother as he thanked the LORD for the memories — his brother was with JESUS. And he missed him so but he was grateful for the memories. They were everywhere! He encouraged us that love lives on. He encouraged us to find comfort in the memories and as we do we make memories for others. Good memories.

Then we began a name search. And we found him!
Gone at 60. How can that be? We only just learned of him!  We expected to find him in Portland. We found him in his legacy.

One day each of us will be gone.

Philippians 1:21 (KJV) 21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gainsource

One day our pens, our keyboards will go silent but our words, especially our written words will remain. And someone will come along on a day certain and find us! And they will rejoice!  We hope!

John 14  (TLV) 14 “Do not let your heart be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? 3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to Myself, so that where I am you may also be.   source

For What?

Here’s a question for us.

For what (purpose, reason) did Jesus, the Messiah, take hold of you?

That’s it.

Personally

Well, don’t take it personally. Who hasn’t had that counsel offered to them?

Today my offer is take it very personally.

Philippians 3:20  (TLV) 20 For our (my) citizenship is in heaven, and from there we (I) eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Yeshua the Messiah. source  parenthetical added

See what I mean?

Here’s another one.

Colossians 1:13-14  (TLV) 13He rescued us (me) from the domain of darkness and brought us (me) into the kingdom of the Son whom He loves. 14 In Him we (I) have redemption—the release of sins. source  parenthetical added
