Saturday Morning Prayer Request

Day 51
315 days remaining after today.

I’ve been away – from blogging this week tending an allergy episode that has kicked me to the sideline BUT this prayer request is important so I am asking my Friends to pray. His name is Sgt. Al. That’s all I know other than he was taken to the hospital yesterday and he is termed as ‘family’  and someone close asked me to get my IDOK people to praying for him that he would get better. So Sweet Folks I am asking you to pray for Sgt. Al.

ABBA, You know the depths of tenderness in this, You know the gratitude abounding and I ask You to intervene on Al’s behalf and raise him up from his hospital bed to continue to serve this Country and give support to his unit, family and friends. I desire to see Your Name exalted and glorified in this and see faith and trust and love for You to grow mightily in the hearts of all these. Thank You ABBA in JESUS name.

The four horsemen are coming. [See Revelation 6:1-8 for their descriptions) That is as certain as the sun came up this morning. The end of things as we know them will play out. The end of the beginning will be exactly as GOD has revealed in His Word. And so for some the attitude is well the end is set, let it play out, there is nothing for me to do or that  I can do about it. I am here to challenge that.

Did not YESHUA say, Occupy till I come? Luke 19:13 Occupy means; well, don’t take my word for it.

oc·cu·py  (ŏk′yə-pī′). To fill up (time or space). 2. To dwell or reside in  3. To hold or fill 4. To seize possession of and maintain control  5. To engage or employ the attention or concentration of  Source: Occupy – definition of occupy by The Free Dictionary

Does that sound like sit around and do nothing and wait for the end? Nope. Not to me either. But that still leaves us with a set end. A set way that this old world system is going to play out. And leading up to that set end the peoples of this world devolve into deeper and more abundant depravity. We see it happening now.

Matthew 24:12 (NASB)

12 Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold.

But GOD has a pause button and thanks to a Radio Minister of the Word I have been thinking about that pause button for a few days. I believe it is Scripturally sound that GOD has a pause button and we can implore Him to engage that pause button on our watch.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (CJB)

14 then, if my people, who bear my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face and turn from their evil ways, I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land.

Revelation 2:4 But I have this against you: you have lost the love you had at first. 5 Therefore, remember where you were before you fell, turn from this sin, and do what you used to do before. Otherwise, I will come to you and remove your menorah from its place — if you don’t turn from your sin! [source]

Notice if repentance comes, His Hand is stayed.

Revelation 2:16 Therefore repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, your sinful behavior—seek God’s will]; or else I am coming to you quickly, and I will make war and fight against them with the sword of My mouth [in judgment]. [source]

Again. Repentance. Stays His Judgment.

Revelation 3: 3 So remember and take to heart the lessons you have received and heard. Keep and obey them, and repent [change your sinful way of thinking, and demonstrate your repentance with new behavior that proves a conscious decision to turn away from sin]. So then, if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you. [source]

Again. wake up or . . .

See GOD has a pause button!

Destruction does not have to come on OUR WATCH! And perhaps it won’t, perhaps my generation will all die out before the Horsemen arrive. But what of our children, our grandchildren even our great-grandchildren – is that what we want for them? Wouldn’t revival, an awakening to the GOD of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and you and me be much better? Wouldn’t our welcome home be much better if we occupied til then? 2 Timothy 4:8 

Think about it. Pray about it. Will you?

Servant?

Today.

ABBA, I want to be a real servant. I have doubts that I know how; either that, or I am lazy and selfish – maybe all the above. You said You came to serve, 28 For the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve — and to give his life as a ransom for many.” [source] and so You did. And I don’t think I am going to be satisfied until I serve well too. You have already started working in me, haven’t You? :) Thank You.

I write. That’s what I do. But that’s not enough. That’s too safe to be all I do.
I teach a class. I love it. I am grateful. But that is not enough.
I pray. Mostly alone. That’s good. I am grateful. But it’s not enough. I want more people to pray with, more often.

Then came this:

2 Corinthians 3:18 (CJB)

18 So all of us, with faces unveiled, see as in a mirror the glory of the Lord; and we are being changed into his very image, from one degree of glory to the next, by Adonai the Spirit.

Romans 8:19 (AMPC)

19 For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God’s sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship].

Follow Him

Again today, and I hope you don’t mind, and I don’t know if it’s a trend but, again for today I’m sharing my praying theme. 

Someone close is troubled about a matter; it’s heavy on his soul and so right out of my pen came: I pray he will follow You to peace about this.

And I thought that is just right, ABBA, follow You to peace about this. That would mean accepting Your guidance, acting upon Your leadership and that for sure will bring him to peace; that will resolve the matter, at least in his own heart and he will have peace. Yes. that’s my prayer that he will follow You to peace.

For sure that is His will for us all: Peace.
He is the Prince of Peace. :)
Isaiah 9:6

And so from there came prayers for others to follow Him to freedom. Follow Him to repentance and forgiveness. Follow Him to the right place to be. 

Follow Him.

27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:  [source]

And look what is ours for following Him:

28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. [source]

 And so for family and friends and whomever will say amen my prayer is that we will allow Him to tune our thoughts and our hearts to follow Him. Whatever the need, wherever the place. Follow Him.

26 If someone is serving me, let him follow me; wherever I am, my servant will be there too. My Father will honor anyone who serves me. [source]
