A Better Offer

We have a week ahead of us that covets your prayers.

I layered the top of my salad with Roma tomatoes immediately after church today thinking we would be sharing it with Jerry’s Mother. That was not to be. She got a better offer this morning – Lunch with JESUS.

The invitation came peacefully and quietly as she slept we believe – what a blessing to begin the journey from here to THERE in just that way.

2 Corinthians 5:7-9 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
7 for we walk by faith, not by sight—
8 we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.
9 Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him.

Good Friday Morning,

Philippians 4:5-8 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
5 Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near.
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.

Dori has been on our PFT list (click HERE to view and pray) for a while now – she is having surgery this morning at 7:00.  Please pray for her as she undergoes yet another surgery. She has been so brave, valiant even.  I personally would appreciate many prayers today for her.

Perhaps I’ll check in on you all later — let us  keep

Strength

Some times the KING JAMES just says it best; like Psalm 91:2. This is my verse of meditation for the week. Perhaps you will find strength in it too.

Psalm 91:2 King James Version (KJV)
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.

This is Wednesday.  I will be praying specifically for each of you for whom I have a name or email address. Wednesdays are special. Please click HERE and pray as well.

Prayer and The Word

Would you visit our PFT list and faithfully intercede for LaJuanna? She is receiving kidney dialysis and awaiting results from a kidney biopsy to determine how much chemo she will need. Many prayers for her would not be wasted and if you are interested in sending her cards of encouragement, please email me for her address.

Betty is improving; she thanks us for our prayers and asked that we continue.

Word for Debbie was excellent – benign! She’s home continuing to recover; let us continue to pray for her.

June’s surgery went well; however it is cancer and we know that means much prayer is needed.

And an extra prayer for me today would feel good.  And if you have some specifics you want me to pray over with you, just send me an email.

James 5:16 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

2 Samuel 7:
21 For the sake of Your word, and according to Your own heart, You have done all this greatness to let Your servant know.
22 For this reason You are great, O Lord GOD; for there is none like You, and there is no God besides You, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

You always hear us, ABBA, and You always answer. Thank You in and through JESUS, our Saviour. Amen and amen.
