Who?

Image from You Version

Today’s picture verse precedes the verse many of us know and can even quote.  Yes, all things work together for good to those . . .  .  You know the rest, right?

I noticed again today, for the first time, something in verse 27.
The Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of GOD.
It is the will of The Father for GOD The Holy Spirit to intercede for the saints. And who are the saints?
In the King James Version of the Bible, there are not less than 95 references to saints.  Here is one: Psalm 37:28  For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
Saints.
We who have fled to GOD for salvation, we abiding in Him, it is for us Holy Spirit intercedes.

So, one question. Who intercedes for the lost?

Good, Pleasing, and Perfect

Image from You Version

This is the Father’s Will; our minds to be changed from our will to His.
Good.
Pleasing.
Perfect.
(I better understand perfect to be mature).
I’m not looking for my mind or body to reach perfection in this mortal life but I am aiming for some maturity to come to both!

I found one other pic I’d like to share with you. What do you think?

Nitty-Gritty

Image from You Version
2-minute read time.

We are urged here to offer our bodies, the vessels in which we attend this mortal journal, as living sacrifices. This tells me that JESUS has not asked me to die for Him.
But HE did die for me, HE died for you. He arose too. Don’t miss that – most important!

Again, He has not asked us to die for Him; He has asked us to LIVE for Him in these mortal bodies.

I actually don’t think HE will ask me to physically die for Him. I am confident that I will physically die and that when it happens, He will be with me, by His Spirit. I am not ruling out, you understand, that I might live in this mortal body until He returns.

Now there are forces of evil in this hostile world who just might position us to die for JESUS.
Even so, I’m not pondering on that, but I am seeking to grow so faithfully intimate with YESHUA now that there wouldn’t be a moment’s hesitation to die for His Name.

Before I close, I need to go back to the verse. What does it ask of us?  Living Sacrifices.

We are urged to be Living Sacrifices for JESUS.
What does that look like?

This comes from a secular source, but I think it’s a good definition of the word ‘sacrifice.’
The act of giving up something highly valued for the sake of something else considered to have a greater value or claim.

Wow! Is He of greater value to us, and do we ascribe to Him a greater claim on us than this world?  I figure the answer is an easy yes until it gets down to the nitty-gritty of my comfort in daily living; you, too?

Until we gather here again, Holy hugs, Kathie עֶבֶד
