Baby Ryder only needs oxygen now when he is sleeping and he weights 8 pounds and 6 ounces. ‘Ain’t’ GOD good?!!
Her name is Destinee, not yet even a toddler and life is unspeakable for her. Please pray for wisdom and courage for those who can to be not afraid and do what must be done and pray for protection and rescue for Destinee.
ABBA, You know how this day started, You know how it is ending. You know the phone calls and the emails that have come in. You know the hurting families. You know the rebellious hard-hearted folks that are causing indescribable grief and pain to others and something in us wants them stopped. We want little ones and young ones to be rescued. We want older folks who know better but who are so selfish and self-centered that they just keep on inflicting wounds that they will never be able to heal. Wounds that only You will be able to heal. And I am asking You now to heal these little ones and I am asking You to arrest the perpetrators, that You apprehend them and stop the abuse. And LORD even as You prayed I pray for mercy; not because I think they deserve it, because I know they don’t but LORD I have never deserved Your mercy and yet You have given it. So I pray for transformations for these offending souls. I pray Holy Spirit, that You will bring on the ‘fiery serpents’ but only if that is all that will bring them to repentance. I pray their hearts will be made tender and they will accept You and Your mercy. Thank You for this excellent report on Baby Ryder. We are delighted and grateful. Thank You. And there are others on my mind too. You know my heart. You know my desire is for relief, pain relief and a remedy for whatever is causing the pain and for full restoration to come quickly. And there’s a whole list of Praying for These, all of them need something and I pray that very something they need that You will supply it and that they will give You glory for doing it. And there’s our IDOK Troops, still praying for them to be safe and well. For each of them to come home safe and sound at the appointed time. And I pray for Israel, for peace and protection and safety. And for Your Church, I pray for revival and for America I pray for repentance and salvation. And for our IDOKs I pray for rest and peace and for ‘fire in our bones’ to worship and minister the Gospel in JESUS Name. Amen and amen.
Most often the word amenable is applied to wives; that we are to be amenable to our husbands. That is to be willing to comply. To be open to acting a certain way. And I agree. But I am suggesting here that ABBA is looking for all His children – men, women, boys and girls to be amenable to Him. To be willing to comply with whatever He speaks to us. To be open to acting in whatever means and manners that will exalt the LORD JESUS.
It is not only the woman who would do well to have a quiet spirit, but men too. For all of us to BE STILL before our God and KNOW that it is HE who is God and not us.
Psalm 46: (NASB) 10“Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Matthew 11: Amplified Bible 29Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls.
A new day and a new week – To God be the glory!
My Journey for today is about Intercession. Before I copy a portion of it here for you, go with me to two types of interceding.
Here in Numbers the people had grievously sinned and Yahweh in His grace and mercy sent ‘judgment’ — fiery serpents and Moses interceded.
Numbers 21: (New American Standard Bible) 6The LORD sent fiery serpents among the people and they bit the people, so that many people of Israel died.
7So the people came to Moses and said, “We have sinned, because we have spoken against the LORD and you; intercede with the LORD, that He may remove the serpents from us.” And Moses interceded for the people.
8Then the LORD said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a standard; and it shall come about, that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, he will live.”
And in I Samuel 25 Abigail also intercedes.
18Then Abigail hurried and took two hundred loaves of bread and two jugs of wine and five sheep already prepared and five measures of roasted grain and a hundred clusters of raisins and two hundred cakes of figs, and loaded them on donkeys.
23When Abigail saw David, she hurried and dismounted from her donkey, and fell on her face before David and bowed herself to the ground.
32Then David said to Abigail, “Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, who sent you this day to meet me,
33and blessed be your discernment, and blessed be you, who have kept me this day from bloodshed and from avenging myself by my own hand.
And in part Journey reads: “When we see situations that violate who God is, He wants us to rise up and take a stand against those things. HE wants us to ask Him to act.
God has chosen to work through us to accomplish a portion of His will in the world. He wants us to intercede through our actions and through our prayers so that He can work through us.
Throughout His Word God has told us what His ways are and what His heart is like. So when we see something in the world that doesn’t line up with God or His ways, it’s a divine invitation for us to ask Him to change things. When you see something that you know doesn’t line up with God’s will or His heart, talk to Him about it. Act if necessary, and ask Him to move.
Many of the prayers recorded in the Bible are like strategy sessions with God. People saw an area of life they knew was operating outside of God’s ways, and they asked Him to change it. What in your life doesn’t look like God’s Kingdom? Invite God to work in that situation. He might be waiting on your prayers to act.”
Oh, I so like that – Strategy Sessions. Do we need to have some Strategy Sessions with God?
I want you to be encouraged! I want you to take heart! I want you to know our God and ABBA is calling us to prayer and our prayers are NOT in vain. He is answering even as we pray.
A strategy session. I pray, ABBA, for many strategy sessions to be held with You today for the people on our Praying For These lists, for our IDOK Troops, for the Church and Her need for revival, for the American People’s need of repentance and salvation; and for families and friends, for situations that are so, so outside Your Will. I am asking You, Holy Spirit, to change hearts and lives. In JESUS NAME I am asking You to intervene in all this. I am asking You to bless us by working through us however You can, ABBA. Amen and amen.
