Scrupulous Conformity

Daily writing prompt
Do you practice religion?

Do I practice religion?

What is religion?
A dictionary could be helpful.
I found the following at Merriam-Webster:

scrupulous conformity

There are other definitions. If you like, click HERE.

Am I religious?
Very! About flossing and brushing my teeth! :)

Ask me if I am a Christian — to that, I would respond: Absolutely and Gratefully!

True Christianity is not a religion. I’m serious.
The GODMAN, Yeshua of Nazareth, is the Founder of Christianity and religion killed Him for it.

So, no, I don’t practice any religion — unless you count flossing and brushing my teeth daily. :)

Seriously.
GOD is not about religion.
He is about re-birthing people from slavery to sin to LIFE eternal with Him.

Networking

Daily writing prompt
Do you remember life before the internet?

Barely.

Although most of my life was without the internet.
I think I only got a personal email address in 1998 or 1999, maybe. And when I got it! Oh my goodness it was better than sliced bread! And now? I rarely get an email that I read.
I glance at emails that tell me my order has been received or some other invoice or billing will be due on such and such date.
Do people send personal emails that others actually read? Outside of the work environment, I mean.

The Internet.

It promised to connect us instantly around the world — it did; it does. And I’m glad!

However, I have noticed since all this networking came to be — we are now more isolated than decades ago living 3 1/2 miles from town on a farm with only one vehicle and one driver.

But I’m looking on the bright side, Amazon, Walmart, DoorDash, and a host of other entities deliver right to our front doors!!

Just saying. . .

What Would I Do?

Daily writing prompt
How would you improve your community?

Community-banner.jpgThere is only one way to significantly and lastingly improve any community.
As with most ventures, the subjects involved must willingly embrace the steps necessary to bring about the improvements. That is the real challenge – to get people to come out of their comfort zones and be willing to think and act differently.

This can be done by compulsion when safety and security are believed to be in imminent jeopardy if they do not comply.  This was poignantly demonstrated just three years ago.

The proper and honorable way to introduce improvements is to present the pros and cons of refusing and/or neglecting to embrace the proposed plan.
Reasonable people adhering to common sense will more likely than not then get on board if they perceive a favorable outcome with the proposed plan.
However, there seems to be a sector of people who will not adhere to sound information no matter how well-researched and tried.

Thus in my opinion this is the uphill battle to be faced to bring real improvement to any community or situation.

That being said the question for today is how would I improve my community.

And my response?
By submitting myself to the necessary training to become bolder and yet, gentler, and more reasonable at what I am already doing: presenting The Gospel of JESUS CHRIST.
When JESUS comes in by His Holy Spirit to the being of man, woman, or child, He brings everlasting improvement.

He enables people to live with integrity, become responsible, willing to work, unwilling to steal and defraud others and process real love for others – just all around improved and beneficial to others.
This is my message — JESUS transforms people and transformed people improve communities.

Goals?

Daily writing prompt
How often do you say “no” to things that would interfere with your goals?

Goals?

What are those?
Do you mean those things you want to accomplish within a specific time?
Those things you head to the other room to do and on the way there the dryer sounds that the permanent press clothes are done which will surely wrinkle if you don’t get them out right now so you make a quick turn to the left and soon you have forgotten why you were headed down the hall in the first place? Those kinds of goals?

And you say we are supposed to follow through with these specific goals by saying no to other things.
