If you refer back to Luke 15:6, you will read the same words: “Rejoice with me.”
If you move on in the chapter, next you will read the Parable of the Prodigal Son. Perhaps you will notice, as I did today, that the older brother didn’t rejoice with his father or his brother. He had his facts, perhaps even true facts, but it was not a time for discussing what had been; it was time to rejoice over right now.
We would do well to learn to rejoice with the godly good that comes to our brothers and sisters. When they come with meaningful words, words that have infused light into their eyes and sparkle in their countenance, rejoice with them. Give them those moments of delight. Don’t move on too quickly – take some time to rejoice with them.
But I have a question. For what did He choose us? Well, y’all, the Text says He chose us to be holy and blameless, and He chose to adopt us. How? How could holy and blameless GOD choose to adopt unholy and completely to blame us?
It’s all about JESUS!
Have you thanked Him today for making you holy and blameless? Because IF you have said YES to Him in faith, you have become holy and blameless in spirit! The mind and body, we are still working on, wouldn’t you say?
Until next time, Kathie
I have a YouTube video saved that I refer to from time to time, which discusses a holy and blameless spirit. If you would like to view it, let me know, and I’ll email you a link.
First! I am not in any way suggesting or implying that I think JESUS looks as depicted in the digital image above. It did, however, delight me when I keyed into my URL window, the words ‘Good Shepherd’, and virtually all the images produced were images that I clearly identified as representing JESUS. Even AI knows that the Good Shepherd is JESUS!
So, why did I pick the image I did for today’s Scripture pic? Look at the arm of the man. Strong like a carpenter, don’t you think? And look at the sheep. Have you ever seen such comfort? And I took a liking to the Light in that otherwise dark picture.
So, if you are like me, enjoy knowing that JESUS is the GOOD SHEPHERD and He will comfort you today in this dark world with HIMSELF.
We are glad you are here; stay a while, look around, and be encouraged. We estimate there to be over 3,000 posts here at The White Stone Blog. Please know my hope is ALWAYS to help and NEVER harm. I have voiced many opinions and thoughts here since 2007 and by now I MAY NOT EVEN AGREE with all of them and some of my grammar and punctuation likely needs editing. But this is changeless: JESUS is our ONLY Savior and Hope. Do you KNOW Him?
