Attended

Today I am sharing with you that I am specifically praying for Poppins. She’s a beautiful young woman, star basketball player, having knee surgery on Thursday. I am praying for textbook perfect surgery and recovery – a return to the court for this precious young woman. And there are others. No doubt you have specific people and matters that you are desperate for DADDY GOD to attend for you.  Ask Him. He will hear. And He will answer us.

Psalm 34 New King James Version (NKJV)

14 Depart from evil and do good;

Seek peace and pursue it.

15 The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,

And His ears are open to their cry.

via Psalm 34:14-16 NKJV – Depart from evil and do good; Seek – Bible Gateway.

And there it is. The key to our prayers being heard and attended by our DADDY GOD – Creator of the Universe.

Thank You, ABBA, for this WORD to direct us, correct us and build our faith to pray. I personally ask for renewed strength and will to depart from evil, to do good, to seek peace, to pursue peace, to pursue You will all my heart, soul, mind and strength. Thank You that Your Eyes are upon us; that Your Ears are open to us, that NOTHING escapes Your loving attention concerning us. And so I am asking You for surgeons well rested and fully skilled for Poppins and for accurate and textbook perfect restoration of Poppins’ knee. I am asking You to return her to the basketball court with no ill residue of this injury and more than that for a deeper, stronger, unbreakable fellowship with You that will bring You glory.  And there are others particularly that I am bringing to You right now – You know their names, You know the cries of their hearts and mine for them. Thank You for hearing and thank You for answering. Still I remember Israel, asking for peace for them and for all their enemies to be defeated. And the evil attacks today in Egypt and Libya. I trust You to uncover and bring to pass the justice that honors You. And not only justice, but comfort and consolation for each violated soul, particularly family members of the Four Americans who have been slain. We need You. I pray for You to make clear the proper response to confront and destroy this evil. ABBA, again I remind You of Abraham’s request and I fashion mine likewise, asking You to save America. Asking You to raise up men and women, boys and girls, that will surrender to labor with You to bring revival, repentance and restoration to this blessed Nation. ABBA, please remove the ungodly that will not repent and raise up moral leaders with integrity and common sense I pray. And before I sign off here I thank You for each reader who comes to this page, I speak strength and peace and wisdom over them that they may walk in each today for Your glory and their own well-being. Thank You, ABBA. Thank You for loving us and thank You for enabling us to love You. And we do love You and we pray to love You more and more.

Blessings, Friends +++

Explaining

Baby Girl GRAND is stirring about five feet away; nope a roll over and pull the covers up; we may have a couple of minutes here.

Good morning, Dear Friends!

Week two (2) of Summer 2012! And we are off to a fine start. GRANDS still sleeping. I have the veggies and flowers watered, the bed made, some praying and a cup of coffee.  Yes, a fine start, indeed!

One of the passages I read this morning in The Message Bible is found at Psalm 106:6. It’s a lengthy paraphrase of the King James’ English. One phrase was emboldened for me.

 He . . .  pried them loose from the grip of the enemy.

The passage  describes the rescue of Israel from Egypt, particularly the parting of the Red Sea and the closing up of it again on their enemies. He pried them loose from the grip of the enemy. I am taking heart today that even as ABBA pried me loose from the grip of the enemy; He will do the same for some Dear Ones on my list of praying. Perhaps this Word will be emboldened for you today and you will take heart as well.

I also read Psalm 119:81-88. It said this:

Psalm 119

The Message (MSG)

81-88 I’m homesick—longing for your salvation;

I’m waiting for your word of hope.

My eyes grow heavy watching for some sign of your promise;

how long must I wait for your comfort?

There’s smoke in my eyes—they burn and water,

but I keep a steady gaze on the instructions you post.

How long do I have to put up with all this?

How long till you haul my tormentors into court?

The arrogant godless try to throw me off track,

ignorant as they are of God and his ways.

Everything you command is a sure thing,

but they harass me with lies. Help!

They’ve pushed and pushed—they never let up—

but I haven’t relaxed my grip on your counsel.

In your great love revive me

so I can alertly obey your every word.

via Psalm 119:81 MSG – I’m homesick—longing for your – Bible Gateway.

I noticed the Psalmist was weary in this Passage. And it reminds me of the times I have said, “I’m not complaining; just explaining.” I think he is ‘explaining’ here. :) And ABBA didn’t rebuke him. Perhaps because even in his explaining he kept a steady gaze on the Instructions of the LORD. Even in his explaining he remembers that the commands of the LORD are sure.  And I so appreciated when he said I haven’t relaxed my grip on Your counsel! And because he had not relaxed his grip on ABBA’s counsel, he could then exclaim

In your great love revive me

so I can alertly obey your every word.

This is a worthy goal for today: even when I ‘explain’ my sorrows and griefs to ABBA, I can remember His counsel, His Never-failing promises and commands, His love and THEN I can obey His Word.  Yep! a worthy goal and a doable one! The Psalmist did!

Almost finished and someone is still sleeping.  Shh. :)

ABBA, thank You. Thank You for Your Word that is alive and speaks NOW.  I pray each one who comes here to read and pray will be encouraged and strengthened to hold steady and remember and obey all that You have commanded us.  Thank You, ABBA.  And as I come I am bringing many needs; ones close and ones for others and how helpful and blessed it is that You know each one even better than I and I trust You to work all things for Your glory and our good.  And we come with our sick and afflicted, asking You to heal them and asking You to pry our oblivious and rebellious Ones from the hand of the enemy; giving them grace and space to repent. And asking too for peace and safety for Israel. And mercy for this Nation as well; forgive us, ABBA, send the HOLY SPIRIT, to move us to repentance in JESUS name.  Amen and amen.

Third Monday of 2012.

Can you believe it?

So how is this new year going for you? Did you make New Year’s Resolutions? And are you still keeping them? Just curious.

Did you enjoy yesterday’s You Tube? Have you really meditated the words lately?

1.      Just as I am, without one plea,

but that thy blood was shed for me,

and that thou bidst me come to thee,

O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

2.      Just as I am, and waiting not

to rid my soul of one dark blot,

to thee whose blood can cleanse each spot,

O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, without one plea – no more trying to be good enough! And no more looking for other ways, no more looking to myself or others to save me; finally now standing on only one sure FACT: that the blood of JESUS CHRIST is enough to save ME! And moreover that HE, The Lamb of God, is offering His salvation to ME! And I am saying YES!

Now, isn’t that what this verse is proclaiming? Let us look at verse two.

Just as I am, and waiting not – no more excuses, no more ‘not now(s)’ but today; today is the day! Today I say yes. Today I will be rid of this deep dark emptiness. Today I will be clean; today not one sin will remain clinging to me; today The Lamb of GOD is making me clean. Today I come, just as I am to Him.

There are four more verses. You try it.

1 Chronicles 17:16 The Message (MSG)
16-27 King David went in, took his place before God, and prayed:

Who am I, my Master God, and what is my family, that you have brought me to this place in life? But that’s nothing compared to what’s coming, for you’ve also spoken of my family far into the future, given me a glimpse into tomorrow and looked on me, Master God, as a Somebody. What’s left for David to say to this—to your honoring your servant, even though you know me, just as I am? O God, out of the goodness of your heart, you’ve taken your servant to do this great thing and put your great work on display. There’s none like you, God, no God but you, nothing to compare with what we’ve heard with our own ears. And who is like your people, like Israel, a nation unique on earth, whom God set out to redeem as his own people (and became most famous for it), performing great and fearsome acts, throwing out nations and their gods left and right as you saved your people from Egypt? You established for yourself a people—your very own Israel!—your people forever. And you, God, became their God.

So now, great God, this word that you have spoken to me and my family, guarantee it forever! Do exactly what you’ve promised! Then your reputation will be confirmed and flourish always as people exclaim, “The God-of-the-Angel-Armies, the God over Israel, is Israel’s God!” And the house of your servant David will remain rock solid under your watchful presence. You, my God, have told me plainly, “I will build you a house.” That’s how I was able to find the courage to pray this prayer to you. God, being the God you are, you have spoken all these wonderful words to me. As if that weren’t enough, you’ve blessed my family so that it will continue in your presence always. Because you have blessed it, God, it’s really blessed—blessed for good!
