Descriptive Words

The people and reasons to pray are many this morning, every morning, and all day.
We are a needy people – the People of GOD.
Others are too but tragically and sadly they don’t know where they can get real and lasting help. I want them to know.
And yet that is not why I came here today.

I came to talk about comfort and correction.
I came because I have prayed for comfort and correction this morning; for me and others.
Comfort because this mortal life is hard and correction because I am flawed enough to make it harder — I need correction.
With opened eyes, I see I am not the only one. All of us mortals need correction – the saved and the lost of us.

So that was my prayer, (is my prayer) Father, please correct us. Please rid us of all the dross in our day-to-day mortality that hinders us from . . . from basking in all that is holy and good.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.  2 Corinthians 1

Overcast

It’s mid-week, Wednesday, specifically.  Powerful-Wednesday-Prayers-and-Blessings-2693900952

Here in Lower Alabama, it’s 64 degrees and partly cloudy, my Momma used to say it’s Overcast on days like this. I like that.  I miss my Momma. She departed this mortal life on January 31, 2009.  I am hoping when I see her again, she will be pleased with how I turned out in her absence.  March is a month with birthdays and anniversaries that draw my thoughts to eternity.
Do you have months like that? And is that eternity one of LIFE? I hope so.
And if it is not, it is my earnest desire that The FATHER will seek you out and you will surrender to LIFE, refusing eternal death. I phrased it that way because people seem to be taken with the mistaken idea that one can get saved anytime, just say a little prayer, and boom you have your one-time purchase of your own personal fire insurance policy.  Do you know that is not Biblical?

John 6: 44 For no one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them to me, and at the last day I will raise them up.

There’s more.

36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.

37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

39 And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Dog Leash

Sometimes I come and sit and look at this blank screen and in my mind, I write something funny or important and I feel connected to a small collection of people beyond this screen.
Silly.
But here I am tickling the keyboard waiting for something to appear on this screen that is worth the publish button.

I have been a tiny, minuscule part of the blogging world since 2005,  I think.
First with another hosting platform, and here at WordPress since 2007. That’s a lot of words.

Oh, Father, You know my desire has been to make You known from the pages of this blog. To establish a connection whereby I could communicate that You are and that they (I) need You; that You are the only hope people have to escape this world with peace and safety. I’d like to keep doing that as long as You will leave me here. For sure, for sure it will take You in me to do this – You are my only hope.

I hope it is immediately apparent as you happen upon The White Stone Blog that it is a web spot where JESUS is King. I hope you find this a pleasant place with refreshing, or perhaps even odd thoughts expressed, good stories, funny stories, interesting information, and real-life help to know GOD better than you did before you stopped by.
I suspect I will not know the good that was accomplished by these pages until I am absent from this body and present with The LORD.

Not to take anything away from my dear brother Paul, I just know it took the Blood of JESUS to wash this sinner clean and it’s a really good thing that that Blood does not lose its power, it keeps on keeping me clean — I did not say sinless, but I do sin less than I used to. Hallelujah!
I have a word this year that I am taking with me through the year.
It’s the word DELIGHT and my aim is that I learn this year more than I ever have to delight in The LORD and to know that He delights in me and to take delight in the people He puts in my life this year, particularly those who came with me from 2023.

It’s been a sweet Sunday here. I hope it is at your house too.

I got to go now. We need a dog leash — we loaned out the one we had to a stranger. :)

Wonder No More

John 6

Do you ever wonder if JESUS would turn you away?
Do you ever wonder if He will forgive you?
Do you ever wonder if He will really, truly, save YOU?

Well, wonder no more!

37 Everyone the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will certainly not turn away. source

Of course, there are a couple of conditions.

1. The Father must give you the invitation to come to Him. He does this by Holy Spirit convicting you of your sin and your need to repent to be forgiven and He confirms to you that JESUS is indeed the Messiah – Savior of the World, including YOU.
This chapter of John 6 makes it clear that it is the will of the Father for you, for all of us, to TRUST JESUS. I encourage you to read the chapter. A link is provided herein.

Condition 2 is that you accept His invitation and follow through by repenting of your sinful state and by trusting His Son, JESUS, forever and ever Amen.

Are you convicted? Are you convinced? Then by all means say YES,  I Do before the invitation is withdrawn.

And then YOU will have to wonder — NO MORE.

There is much more in John 6 that I wondered about.  Like how did Andrew know a young lad had 5 loaves of barley bread and 2 fish?
Perhaps that’s silly or trivial but I did wonder — just being honest here.

59 He said these things while he was teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum. source

And I also wondered if people are still as put off today as they were when John 6 happened when JESUS told them they had to eat His flesh and drink His blood to have eternal life in them?
I wonder if this word picture He gave depicts how distasteful it is for people to confess they are hell-deserving sinners in need of The Only Savior?shutterstock_187826798
I wonder if He used these very words to bring reality to their very faces?
You see His very FLESH had to be torn to pieces and His very BLOOD spilled out for YOU and ME to be saved from the eternal death we were born into.
Do you remember some years ago songs from hymn books about the BLOOD of JESUS were removed?
Why? Because it was so distasteful. Some folks didn’t want to sing those words.

Do you ever wonder if there really is a Last Day?
Well, Yeshua spoke of the Last Day, three times in this one chapter.

There is a Last Day.

Should we not be asking people if they know if they will be raised up on that Last Day?
Do you know for sure YOU will be raised up at the Last Day?
I had to ask.
I can’t suggest you ask others and me not ask others, can I?

I am mindful that more than not my posts these days are somber; not easy reads, not funny, and not rose-colored, but neither are the days in which we live and neither is a future without JESUS.
Somebody has got to give the bad news AND the Greatest News EVER!  — it might as well be me!

Love, Kathie
