Three Score and Ten

For Thursday, November 4, 2010

It is a wonderful rainy day (Wednesday) in Satsuma! It’s cool and damp and perfect for staying inside with no guilt feelings for not getting out and doing something! I am delighted!!  I think I’ll brew some raspberry zinger tea.  Be right back!

I added a bag of green tea too – so good! And with lemon lavender cookies; I’m all set!

I’m still reading Lioness Arising by Lisa Bevere and today I’d like to share a little of it with you. I’m even giving away a copy of the book to ONE drawing winner. Please see drawing entry requirements at the end of this post.

My friend, Julia’s, favorite verse of Scripture is located at Micah 6:8 and it reads:

8He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

And in Lisa’s book she has given me something concise to help me. First and foremost the duty and privilege of man, woman, boy and girl is to One on one worship God daily and to often worship Him corporately with a local body of Christian Believers.  And in between this worship is our secondary duty and privilege in this world. Our purpose in life, if you please. Our mission. What it is that we were designed for; what our passion should be in our ‘three score and ten’ span.

The call of God (as stated in Lisa’s book) upon me, upon you, upon every soul who has been born again is

Ø  Share His Good News Message with the earth  (Tell people JESUS SAVES)

Ø  Love one another

Ø  Care for the widows, orphans, aliens, and the poor

This is our three-fold purpose while we are breathing terrestrial air. It’s concise; it’s concrete; it’s do-able –  in JESUS. In His strength and with His anointing upon us.

Now It’s Your Turn.  Does this three-fold mission bear witness with you?  Do you find it concise and helpful? And if so, how have you (or will you) personalized it to actually carry it out in this season of your life?

Thank You, Father, for Lisa and for the answers You are providing within the pages of her book. I pray You will awaken all Your Lionesses.  That we will be a formidable force against the fortresses of the Evil One in this world in these Last Days doing the mission You have called us to.

Thank You for the election results, we lean upon You to continue the work to bring integrity to this Nation You founded. It is my continued prayer, Father, that You, Holy Spirit, will give this Nation a Third Great Awakening.  I ask for the privilege of seeing it and being a part of it in JESUS NAME.

We pray now for protection of our IDOK Troops, for their well being in all ways and safe returns home; we pray for our Loved Ones whose names are recorded at Praying for These and I personally in this moment thank You for each IDOK and each Reader and I pray You will tend and minister, encourage and anoint each one to love You, worship You, and obey You for JESUS Name sake.  Thank You for Israel and the plans You have for them as a Nation in these days.  I pray for their peace and safety. Amen and amen.

  1. You get me started off with a prayer and a reminder of who I belong to and represent to the world. Often the devotional will touch on areas of my life that are crying out for clarification. They seem to be talking to me personally although I know you send them out to many other IDOK’s. Thank you for taking this time to be with us IDOK’s and give us a sense of unity in these troubling times. Thank you sweet sister in Christ. Mabel

  2. I always enjoy your devotionals. They help me get my day started in the right direction. Somedays they really touch where I am. Thank you for doing this, I know it takes dedication.

  3. Thank you for reminding me of this. I get side-tracked and forget easily what my responsibilities as a Christian involve. I really do appreciate you.

  4. Words to encourage, strengthen, and delight; words that kick start my morning and linger through the day–THANKS

Yes? No? Maybe? Whatcha say?
