Just Read

Just Listen.

And hear.

15 “If you love me, you will keep my commands; . . .  23 Yeshua answered him, “If someone loves me, he will keep my word; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
24 Someone who doesn’t love me doesn’t keep my words — and the word you are hearing is not my own but that of the Father who sent me.

via John 14 KJV;CJB – Let not your heart be troubled: ye – Bible Gateway.

And so the question to ask is Do I love Jesus?  Do YOU love Jesus? How are we doing with His Commands?

To refresh your memory as to these Commandments, click HERE and read them in context either KJV or CJB.

And then of course there is this account:

36 “Rabbi, which of the mitzvot in the Torah is the most important?”
37 He told him, “‘You are to love Adonai your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.’
38 This is the greatest and most important mitzvah.
39 And a second is similar to it, ‘You are to love your neighbor as yourself.’
40 All of the Torah and the Prophets are dependent on these two mitzvot.”

via Matthew 22 KJV;CJB – And Jesus answered and spake unto them – Bible Gateway.

Yeshua (Jesus) truly did sum it up for us. For you see in keeping these two, there are no gaps with the others.  If we love our neighbor as ourselves; murder, theft, adultery, coveting, giving false testimony (or gossip) won’t happen. And if we have no gods other than ADONAI; we will keep not just the Shabbat holy but all the days of the week holy and we will bow to no god but ABBA. And taking His name in vain? That won’t even enter our minds, much less come out of our mouths. And honoring our mother and father?  How could we dishonor them if we are in love with our Heavenly Father?

So how are we doing? It is a question I must answer. And so must you. And what better time than now as we approach Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday?

15 “If you love me, you will keep my commands; . . .

Thank You, ABBA, take Your message to all You have prepared to hear and those not yet ready to hear I pray HOLY SPIRIT You will get them ready. I don’t want to be an unbelieving believer; nor any of my family, friends or any member of the Body of Christ;  I pray You will not let us rest until we show the world that we love You.

What a Relief!

This was for me this morning; perhaps it will speak to you too; not just mothers but especially to grandmothers.

Burden

Perhaps the picture is too small to read so I have included a PDF (click below at Journey Not Meant to Carry to open and read). The source of this material is Journey Magazine, a LifeWay Production.

Awaiting Blooms

Just an observation made Saturday.

I don’t have a green thumb; but occasionally a few things other than weeds will pop up. Now weeds, I can grow an abundant crop of those! And the small garden plot by the front walk had a bumper crop until Saturday.

Now for the observation: It was not until I had pulled the weeds from my garden did I see this: wpid-img_20140412_162136_725.jpg

Truthfully, I don’t know what they are but I know they are not weeds.

Could it be in our lives that we don’t see the beauty in our ‘gardens’ because the gifts and talents GOD has given us are hidden in the weeds we have allowed to spring up and flourish?

So what kind of weeds are growing in your garden? Don’t answer that – not to me. But perhaps ABBA would like to discuss that with you and me. :)

So are we of a mind to do some spiritual weeding? I think so.

5 “I am the vine and you are the branches. Those who stay united with me, and I with them, are the ones who bear much fruit; because apart from me you can’t do a thing.

via John 15:4-6 KJV;CJB – Abide in me, and I in you. As the – Bible Gateway.

I’ll give you an update on what’s growing as soon as the blooms make themselves known.

ABBA, thank You for the ability and strength to weed our gardens; thank You for the beauty You have planted in each of us through CHRIST JESUS our Savior. We look forward to the fruit (and flowers) that You intend for our gardens. We invite You, HOLY SPIRIT, to continue Your weeding, pruning and producing all that You desire in the garden of this life You have given us.
Tomorrow Little Girl has a most important test to take, so I am asking You, HOLY SPIRIT, to move others as You will, to also pray for her that she will do well; that her recall will be more than adequate for this exam; that she will have confidence and she will honor You with her best not only in the taking of this test but in all that she does. And perhaps, ABBA, there are other Mothers and Dads that would ask the same for their children as well – that our children honor You with their lives and do well for JESUS’ name sake. Each of us gathering here have Names and Faces, conflicts, struggles, needs and wants that we are bringing to You, we come now confessing our needs and Your Power to resolve all things well. Again, we pray for revival, for repentance and for Peace for Israel.

Accents

I have a friend and when she speaks you know immediately that she is not Southern by birth. She quickly came to mind when the Boston Officer via a News Media gave details of the ‘car’ pursuit.

Diversity.

It’s a good thing.

A wise and fitting thing.

18 But as it is, God arranged each of the parts in the body exactly as he wanted them.
19 Now if they were all just one part, where would the body be?
20 But as it is, there are indeed many parts, yet just one body.
21 So the eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you”; or the head to the feet, “I don’t need you.”
22 On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be less important turn out to be all the more necessary;
23 and upon body parts which we consider less dignified we bestow greater dignity; and the parts that aren’t attractive are the ones we make as attractive as we can,
24 while our attractive parts have no need for such treatment. Indeed, God has put the body together in such a way that he gives greater dignity to the parts that lack it,
25 So that there will be no disagreements within the body, but rather all the parts will be equally concerned for all the others.
26 Thus if one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it; and if one part is honored, all the parts share its happiness.

via 1 Corinthians 12 KJV;CJB – Now concerning spiritual gifts, – Bible Gateway.

And so our message and challenge for the day? To appreciate one another’s differences; to give thanks for our uniqueness; to celebrate the diversity of our accents. :) The choir needs all the voice parts to sing a lovely song.

Thank You, ABBA, for diversity. Thank You for deep, rich colors and for soft pastels; thank You for soft voices and strong voices; for gentle hands and firm hands; for sprinters and walkers; for cats and dogs; for drizzles and gully washers; thank You, ABBA, that You are LORD of them all and You know the importance of each and You are willing to give us eyes to see that importance; help us be willing.
Many friends and family are coming to mind and for them I pray; for strength, for resolutions, for comfort, for peace, for conviction and repentance, for health and healing, for the mending of hearts and family bonding, for the owning of sin and seeking forgiveness, for good night sleeps, and productive days; for new jobs and for peace till then; for courage to wait for love – the holy and godly kind; for all the troubles and all the needs of each passerby we ask You, ABBA, for Your help, not in our own merit but solely because of YESHUA we come.
