He Prays

Luke 22:32  (NASB) 32 but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.” source

This verse is newly refreshed for me and I think I shall not soon forget. Recently, and most recently, my soul was bruised and bleeding, my spirit was low and receding. This could not stand. My kneeling was feeble. So, I prayed: Jesus, pray for me. He did. He never fails. My soul is healing well and my spirit is gratefully peaceful. He’s the best, no He’s the Only Savior.

Hebrews 7:25  (TLV) 25 Therefore He is also able to save completely those who draw near to God through Him, always living to make intercession for them. source

A Sweet Wednesday, my Friends.

New Today

What will the day bring? New mercies and help.

Lamentations 3:22-23  (ESV) 22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; 23 they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.  source

Psalm 121:1-2  (NASB) 121 I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. source

A Peek

Good Saturday Afternoon. Want to peek over my shoulder? Yes? Good.

November 3, 2019, Sunday School Notes

Ephesians 5:1-14

Therefore become imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father];  source

Verse 1, first two words: Therefore Become.

Why is the therefore there for?
Because of what has gone on before. Right?
What was chapter 4?
The Christian’s Walk.
This chapter (5) could be entitled Be Imitators of GOD.
Obviously, because that’s how the Christian is to walk. Right? Imitating GOD.

Now word two.
Become.
This word gives us hope!
Become is a process. GOD did not expect us to wake up the morning after our salvation and be exactly like JESUS in thoughts, words, and deeds. He really didn’t (or doesn’t for that one saved today). But obviously, from Chapter 5 we can be assured He does expect us to BECOME.

It’s a process.

Now isn’t that good news on this Saturday afternoon?!

Yes, I’m studying for Sunday School. :)
