Perhaps I knew it before today, but today it seems new to me. Andrew was John’s disciple before he was JESUS’ disciple. And I can’t say for sure, but perhaps Philip too.
The day after John saw HOLY SPIRIT descending on YESHUA, two of John’s disciples (Andrew being one of them) began following JESUS, and right away asked Him where He was staying.
And do you know how He answered them?
“Come and see.“
I love it so much!
And then the first thing Andrew did was bring his brother, Simon Peter, to the LORD. How marvelous is that?!
When we read on, we learn that Andrew, Simon Peter, and Philip were all from Bethsaida. And in verse 43, JESUS found Philip and said to him, “Follow Me,” and he did. Then Philip found Nathanael. Do you remember what Nathanael said to Philip? “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?”
And I so love this! Do you know what Philip said to Nathanael? “Come and see.”
Come and see!
Come and see People! That’s who we want to be!
People who invite people to Come and See JESUS.
I hope you will read Chapter One of John today, and find it to be a Happy for you too!
