Follower of Yeshua. Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother. Some call me a teacher. Some say I'm a prayer warrior. A few accredit me with some writing skills. Me? I say I'm a work in slow progress, looking for perfection in eternity and until then having all the holy fun I know how.

Closed Windows

Day 16 – Closed Windows

Today windows gave cause for me to give thanks. Actually a closed window is what brought on the thanks. This particular window opened even a little would not have pleased me today. Opened, it would have been an invitation to grand to pass up for Mr. Lizard. The screen was insufficient so there he was all stretched out enjoying himself on MY side of the screen. Oh yes I am SO thankful for closed windows!

Closed windows are good boundaries. They keep out unwanted(s) and yet yield themselves to the passing through of light and vision.

Perhaps all God’s Children need to make use of some closed windows. Ponder that a bit and share your thoughts with me. If the comment (reply) window below is a bit intimidating, my email works.

1 John 1:4-6 (New American Standard Bible)
4 These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete.
5 This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth;

Absolutes

Day 15 – Absolutes

Absolutes, I hear, they are not popular with some folk, but for me, I absolutely appreciate absolutes.

What brought this on? Glad you ask.

Dr. Quinn. Yes, I watch an episode or two often. You may recall it was a television series from 1993 to 1998. Overall it was excellent family entertainment. I did not agree with every issue presented in every storyline but who would expect me to. Right? :)

Today Brian quizzed how to know when it was right to refuse to obey an unjust law. In essence he was told his conscience would be his guide. That’s good counsel if you have a pure conscience. But who does??

I need more than that.
Don’t you?
I need. No.
I WANT absolutes. And I have them. So do you. They are found between the covers of 66 Books – The Bible.
There in the Bible is every absolute needed to keep me safe and sane.

So when is a law of man unjust?
When it violates one of ABBA’s.

Even so He requires that I use every legal and peaceful avenue available to me to bring justice amid injustice.

Absolutes!
I love ’em!!

Romans 12: Amplified Bible (AMP)
17 Repay no one evil for evil, but take thought for what is honest and proper and noble [aiming to be above reproach] in the sight of everyone.
18 If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave the way open for [God’s] wrath; for it is written, Vengeance is Mine, I will repay (requite), says the Lord.

Renewable Resources

Day 14 – Renewable Resources

I am thankful for renewable resources, particularly my mind!

Romans 12: 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. (emphasis mine)

Morning routine came again this morning and I was just about to say to myself, I am tired of this and then something happened!

SCRIPTURE!

ABBA’s Word renewed my mind and my tongue and my attitude. I am a grateful woman. Grateful for a renewable mind which brings a renewed tongue and renewed attitude –  a redeemed day, a redeemed life.

Are you thankful for renewable resources, particularly your mind?  :)

Have a renewed Monday!!

Click HERE and pray, other folks need some renewing too.
