There is a line from the movie Loving Leah. One of my favorites.
“A mother is only as happy as her saddest child.”
For me, that extends to my grands, and now my great-grands. Anything that threatens their well-being sends me to my knees in prayer on their behalf and my own that I will faithfully trust His goodness and love for them and for me.
If you would like to watch the movie Loving Leah you may find it on Amazon Prime and even on Youtube.
If you want the help of GOD, you may find Him in the pages of Scripture. I hope you will seek Him with all your heart. Otherwise, there is MUCH to be anxious about and that’s not a movie with a happy ending.
Isaiah 55:6-7 New Living Translation 6 Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near. 7 Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously. source
Love, Kathie
P.S. the movie . . . is it theologically correct? No, but that doesn’t take away (for me) the wholesome romance.
Philippians 1:18 Complete Jewish Bible 18 But so what? All that matters is that in every way, whether honestly or in pretense, the Messiah is being proclaimed; and in that I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice, source
I strongly suggest you read this verse in CONTEXT because what I am about to write is out of context but for me muchly applies.
So. What’s the must phrase that I must make my own?
But so what?
Yes. that’s the phrase. But so what?
Let me give it to you from my study notes. A phrase I need to make my own. So what if he or she said this or that or did this or that, or didn’t.
So what! What matters is ‘is JESUS glorified by the way I RESPOND to it, to him, to her, to all people and all things? ‘
Would you concur that GOD cares about your health?
Spiritual. Emotional. And Physical.
1 Peter 5:7 New Living Translation 7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.source
And if you are familiar with the Ministry of YESHUA, then you know He healed physical infirmities — to me, that equals that He cares for us.
Would you also concur that depression is common among us? Perhaps we would be shocked if we knew just how many people are taking prescribed medication for depression.
The common practice is once you start you continue taking the pharmaceuticals for the remainder of your earthly life.
I know from personal experience there are exceptions. JESUS does care.
I read an article today summarising conclusive research that there is a more effective way of dealing with depression and anxiety than medication.
But I learned better from a Little Black Book that some opine is full of fables and myths. Albeit some of the characters in The Book with a leather cover were extremely superstitious – life didn’t end well for them.
We are glad you are here; stay a while, look around, and be encouraged. We estimate there to be over 3,000 posts here at The White Stone Blog. Please know my hope is ALWAYS to help and NEVER harm. I have voiced many opinions and thoughts here since 2007 and by now I MAY NOT EVEN AGREE with all of them and some of my grammar and punctuation likely needs editing. But this is changeless: JESUS is our ONLY Savior and Hope. Do you KNOW Him?
