STOP!
A most important word.
Full of power and comfort.
When used in conjunction with Scripture.
2 Corinthians 10:5 (NKJV) 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, source
When renegade thoughts invade with intent, stop is a refuge for deliverance.
Just that simple word spoken with the authority of the Blood of JESUS will shut the mouths of lions seeking YOU to devour.
Say it out loud.
Experience casting down those crippling, haunting, malicious thoughts.
Stop.
1 Peter 5:8 (NKJV) 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. source
Stop!

I have a quick observation to share from 1 Peter 3:9.
Well, we might as well read verses 8 through 12.
8 Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous;
9 not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.
10 For “He who would love life
And see good days,
Let him refrain his tongue from evil,
And his lips from speaking deceit.
11 Let him turn away from evil and do good;
Let him seek peace and pursue it.
12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their prayers;
But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” source
The fact that it is recorded for us to not return evil for evil or reviling for reviling tells me that some brothers and some sisters are going to act in evil ways toward another brother and/or sister and that some are going to revile one another.
IF we want the blessings of our Father, let us make sure the one doing NOT the evil and NOT the reviling is US.
Should I say it again? Let us not be surprised or caught off guard when these hurts come to us, let us prepare ourselves ahead of time so our responses will be well-pleasing to our Father.
And we will when we take our hearts daily (moment by moment) to The Father asking Him to tenderize us so we will NOT be tough as shoe leather – walking on others.
That’s it.
