Category Archives: A Quick Hello

It’s Cold Outside!

smiley-hello

It’s 29 degrees and clear here – feels like 22 so says the weather app.
A storm took out our internet last week and today it was restored; giving thanks here! For warmth and this lovely page and a multitude of other grand and happy things! I hope you are too.

Abba, on this cold evening with a new week dawning in just a few hours, we ask for places of warmth for souls feeling chilly winds. For First Responders, for Utility Personnel out there serving, we pray for practical helps, warm clothes, and hot coffee.
Thank You for our kind and efficient Tech who came and speedily restored service today; thank You so much that we got to pray with him; thank You for his dear family and as often as You will bring them to mind that we may pray again.  Thank You that tomorrow is Sunday and we have a house of worship close by where we can gather; I pray houses of worship will be warm tomorrow with prayer and good hot air :) Thank You for loving us so deeply and strong; I pray we love You back and each other too.

Pick a Seat

Water and pressure accomplished the results you see here. img_8905 I wouldn’t resist the picture and now the analogy. :)

26 to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word. Ephesians  5 (source

JT was the handler of the power washer to clean our backyard chairs. The Holy Spirit of God, when we will be submissive, is the Power in the Water of the Word to cleanse people.

The difference in the chairs is remarkable, wouldn’t you say? So is the difference in a soul continually washed with the Water of the Word applied by the Power of the Holy Spirit.

Let us pick a seat. Which do we want to be? The one on the left or the one on the right?

I hope we are continuing to pray for We the People in Jesus Name. img_8861

Kneading Dough

Kneading bread dough. Takes muscle action and if your muscles are not accustomed you get tired before you are finished. And then it happened. Scripture came to mind. May I share it with you? Thank you for saying yes. :)

Honestly only part of the verse came to mind: who for the joy that was set before him [source]. Not to worry, we will get to the rest; it’s too good to ignore. :)

Where I am going with this is a stretch I easily admit and obviously not the average interpretation but . . .

Okay. Come get on this thought train with me.
Kneading dough. A little work-out here. Arms, hold that tummy and even get that core working. Wonder if Baby Girl GRAND would want to learn to bake bread this summer. Hmm. This takes a while. I sure hope this comes together. Keep pressing through. Who for the joy that was set before him.
Life lesson: looking to the reward is a reason to press through and finish what we start. That is what JESUS did.

The Bread of Life pushed through agony and death to give us eternal life, redemption, salvation, forgiveness, and His forever best company in the universe forever at His House!! And in the meantime, I really don’t think He would mind if we followed His example [of pressing through for the biggest thing in eternal life] for our little things in life. Whatever those little things are like kneading dough, cleaning out the closet, mowing the lawn, weeding the garden; taking out the trash . .  . I sure hope I have some young readers here :)

That’s it. That’s my lesson through bread kneading. So even if it does not rise and it does not taste worth eating, it wasn’t without reward. :)

looking away to the Initiator and Completer of that trusting, Yeshua — who, in exchange for obtaining the joy set before him, endured execution on a stake as a criminal, scorning the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Yes, think about him who endured such hostility against himself from sinners, so that you won’t grow tired or become despondent. [SOURCE]

Thanks for visiting with me and reading along.  I appreciate you, dear friends.

Day 126
240 days remaining after today.

Just One

Borrowing a pic2016-04-06_031753000_B1D69_iOS today just in case someone out there has taken many steps, perhaps even miles of steps from the fellowship she or he once enjoyed with the LORD.

The journey from Him may have been a long one; perhaps years of running; even so the journey back is one step. One decision and you can sense His loving presence again. You can know His smile again. You can know His peace again. One step. Just one.

Take it!

Today’s the day!

Matthew 9:22 (CJB)

22 Yeshua turned, saw her and said, “Courage, daughter! Your trust has healed you.” And she was instantly healed.
