Day 6 – An Extra Hour – Fall back from Daylight Savings Time

Extra hour of sleep!! Yeah!! Or an extra hour to get ready for Sunday School – I’d like to have that every Sunday.

Romans 13:10-12 Amplified Bible (AMP)
10 Love does no wrong to one’s neighbor [it never hurts anybody]. Therefore love meets all the requirements and is the fulfilling of the Law.

We are women (and men) of hope.

And because of that hope, today is the perfect day to begin a month of Thanksgiving. So go ahead. Name one thing you are thankful for today.

I’m thankful for clean clothes.

I might as well be up front with you.

I don’t like Halloween.
Actually I hate Halloween as it is traditionally celebrated with tricks and witches and the like. In the circles I travel we try to put another spin on it and hopefully give an alternative that is fun and perhaps even redemptive.  LORD willing that is what I will be doing tonight.

So my Journey devotional this morning was fitting and I’d like to share a thought from it with you. Let me just quote a bit of it.

“Satan fights mightily to weaken marriages, discourage believers, distract ministers, tear apart churches and destroy testimonies.”

Any of that cover any of us?
Any of us married?
Any of us a believer in JESUS CHRIST?
Any of us have a pastor?
Any of us a member of a local church?
Any of us have a personal testimony that we walk with God?

Yes, on any point?

Then Journey‘s question this morning is for you (and me).

“Are you aware of the spiritual battles going on in your home, in your church? Prayer and truth are our primary weapons in spiritual warfare. Are you using them?”

And actually I am late this morning in my ‘war efforts’ so I’m gonna move from here to there. Please you all be praying too. Click HERE for names.

Peace – Quiet

We Thompsons are quiet and blessed with the Peace of GOD our Savior this Tuesday afternoon.  In light of a funeral service tomorrow, I hesitate to use the word enjoying but it’s a fair description of where we are today: grateful for the quiet, the calm and the peace within the four walls of this home and our hearts. Our GOD is GOOD!!

So I’d like to direct you all for some encouraging reading over to Kimberly’s Blog again today. Words to Sink My Roots In is the title of her post today.  Take the time to read it and you just might find a word you need.
