Diffuse and Infuse — Bring it On!

IDOK DEVOTION FOR Wednesday, February 20, 2008

A quote from Beth (Moore) in our Stepping Up study: “He not only diffuses our past of all power to harm and haunt us but He infuses it with power to help others. Redemption is incomplete if our negative past is only diffused. Satan won’t be completely sorry and God won’t get all the glory until the bad is used for good.”
Psalm 130:7 NIV “O, ___________, put your hope in ME, the Lord, for with ME is unfailing love and with ME is full redemption.
Did you read that with your name in the blank? You should; that’s Father’s message to you today.
Exactly what does diffuse mean? I think I know but let’s look it up. To spread over an area; scatter. I guess we could say spread it thin; too thin to be of formidable consequences. Who of us does not want our past diffused; so diffused that it is too thin to cause us any more harm and too thin to cause us any more grief? That is God’s desire for you — believe it!
And infuse?
1. To put into or introduce as if by pouring
2. To fill or cause to be filled with something
3. To steep or soak without boiling in order to extract soluble elements or active principles.
4. To flavor or scent (a liquid) by steeping ingredients in it:
5. To introduce (a solution) into the body through a vein for therapeutic purposes.

WOW! I like this! Yes, HOLY SPIRIT, do all this in us! And He has or else He is still in the process. He has been poured out for us and into us at Salvation. Yes, we are commanded and we are only doing well when we are FILLED with Him. Oh, yes; let us be steeped in the Water of the Word so the elements and principles of it be extracted and found in us. To flavor or scent; oh, don’t you like that? For us to take on the FLAVOR, SCENT of CHRIST. Wouldn’t that be glorious?! And look at # 5! The Blood of JESUS! NOTHING is more therapeutic!
So! Father desires to take our wretched pasts and INFUSE them with HIMSELF.
Beth went on to say: “Don’t think you have to tell every detail of your personal past for God to use it. Your absolute authenticity and humility in ministry is often enough to turn the agony into glory.”
Amen! Let’s have some agony turned into glory. That’s His Will for us and if we will ask, He will.
So the next time you sense that grief coming again for some sin you have long since ceased to do, immediately give Father permission to take that sin and use it to help someone else.
John 15: 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
Father, we desire for You to diffuse our past and infuse it for Your Glory; we want to be so infused with You that the devil is sorry he messed with us – make it so Lord. Make it so in each of us. I pray for my IDOK sisters and brothers, inspire them today Lord to embrace this and expect You to perform it. Bring up that same expectation in me I pray.
We are here with our lists,  Lord; praying for Your Peace and Your Will to be done. Amen and Amen.

IDOK DEVOTION for Friday, May 18, 2007

Be Prepared. When you ask Father a question, He WILL answer you!! And that question can be something technical, even a concept about website building that you do not understand; something that try as hard as you may you just cannot figure it out. He may not answer you though when you are sitting at the computer. It may be long after you have closed out the screen, powered down, and shut off the light. It may be the morning after you have been sleeping soundly but for some reason you are awake a couple hours before the alarm, you get up, stumble into the bathroom, and boom… all of a sudden it is perfectly clear! He has answered you! But it’s too early to go test it. So you go back to bed, go back to sleep – smiling!

Yes, when you ask Father a question – He WILL answer you! He may not answer you when you think He should and it may not be in the place you thought He would… certainly not at 3:05 a.m. in the bathroom when your discussion with Him was at the office, two days before. No, that would not be my ideal time or place! But you know what? HE ANSWERED! So who am I to argue with Him?! And yes I have tested it and it worked beautifully!

So, give Him time to get you to the place where you can receive His answer to your question. There is no doubt; He knew the answer to my question from eternity past. Yes, long before computers and website-building programs were given to the mind of men, Father knew all about them, all the answers to all the questions to ever be asked. Why would He wait until 3:05 a.m. to answer me? I don’t know and that one He may not answer until eternity future – no matter. He is my Father and my God and He LOVES ME!

So! Have you asked Him a question He has not answered yet? He will… just as soon as He gets you to your 3:05 a.m. Remember… He is YOUR Father and YOUR God and HE LOVES YOU!

Psalm 143: 1 Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness. (KJV) [source]

Whatever the question – whatever the prayer – whatever the circumstance, remember:

Psalm 69: 12 They who sit in [the city’s] gate talk about me, and I am the song of the drunkards.
13 But as for me, my prayer is to You, O Lord. At an acceptable and opportune time, O God, in the multitude of Your mercy and the abundance of Your loving-kindness hear me, and in the truth and faithfulness of Your salvation answer me. 14 Rescue me out of the mire, and let me not sink; let me be delivered from those who hate me and from out of the deep waters. (Amplified Bible) [source]

Dry Mouth & Flaky Lips

Wednesday, March 21 2007 Devotion

Internet Daughters of the King

Not pleasant, but it happens and it happens to me more often now than it did. I think that is because at the beginning of this year I consistently significantly increased my daily intake of water and so now in the mornings when I awaken — I want water. My mouth is dry and sometimes, especially if I have neglected the day before to take in the usual amount … My lips are flaky too. But Water will fix that.

And with these thoughts, I went to my online text finder – thirsty – and the first reference that appeared was this:
2 Therefore the people contended with Moses, and said, “Give us water, that we may drink.”
So Moses said to them, “Why do you contend with me? Why do you tempt the LORD?”
3 And the people thirsted there for water, and the people complained against Moses, and said, “Why is it you have brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?”
4 So Moses cried out to the LORD, saying, “What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready to stone me!” Exodus 17
(NKJV)  source

And my first thoughts on reading that was yeah, that’s the way it is all right when my intake of The Water of Life is decreased, I COMPLAIN! So if you find yourself complaining more these days, check your Word intake, you may be suffering from dry mouth and flaky lips. Don’t shoot the messenger, I’m just telling you what came this morning.

And Isaiah 5:
12 The harp and the strings, The tambourine and flute, And wine are in their feasts;
But they do not regard the work of the LORD, Nor consider the operation of His hands.
13 Therefore my people have gone into captivity, Because they have no knowledge; Their honorable men are famished, And their multitude dried up with thirst.  source

It’s just truth, without The Water of the Word, we dry up. BUT look at this:
Isaiah 41:
17 “ The poor and needy seek water, but there is none, Their tongues fail for thirst. I, the LORD, will hear them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.
18 I will open rivers in desolate heights, And fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, And the dry land springs of water.  source

How beautiful! When we get dry mouths, and flaky lips, when we find ourselves complaining more than we used to, and we have looked around and we can’t find a ‘water bottle’ anywhere — stop and cry out to Him and He will be there with a river, with fountains in the midst of our dry valley, in the midst of our wilderness we will find a pool of water, in our dry and parched land, He will bring us Springs of Living Water. Oh, my! He is AWESOME!

There are more, more Scriptures that give us precious promises to aid us in our condition of dry mouth and flaky lips, but this morning I am going to leave you with this one.
Isaiah 44:
2 Thus says the LORD who made you And formed you from the womb, who will help you:
‘ Fear not, O Jacob My servant; And you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.
3 For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, And floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, And My blessing on your offspring;
4 They will spring up among the grass Like willows by the watercourses.’   source

It is happening my dear ones. The thirsty ones are finding Him just this way! And dry mouths and flaky lips are revived!
