Strolling

It was spur of the moment; just a Sunday afternoon stroll. Want to come along for a moment? :)

It was lovely on the boardwalk. Can you tell?  It’s long. It’s winding. It’s eye captivating. And then . . . img_7243

Do you see it? I know. It’s hardly noticeable! Just a little bump on the path. No I didn’t fall headlong but I sure did stumble. :)

My point?

15 Therefore, pay careful attention to how you conduct your life — live wisely, not unwisely. 16 Use your time well, for these are evil days. 17 So don’t be foolish, but try to understand what the will of the Lord is. [source]

Kneading Dough

Kneading bread dough. Takes muscle action and if your muscles are not accustomed you get tired before you are finished. And then it happened. Scripture came to mind. May I share it with you? Thank you for saying yes. :)

Honestly only part of the verse came to mind: who for the joy that was set before him [source]. Not to worry, we will get to the rest; it’s too good to ignore. :)

Where I am going with this is a stretch I easily admit and obviously not the average interpretation but . . .

Okay. Come get on this thought train with me.
Kneading dough. A little work-out here. Arms, hold that tummy and even get that core working. Wonder if Baby Girl GRAND would want to learn to bake bread this summer. Hmm. This takes a while. I sure hope this comes together. Keep pressing through. Who for the joy that was set before him.
Life lesson: looking to the reward is a reason to press through and finish what we start. That is what JESUS did.

The Bread of Life pushed through agony and death to give us eternal life, redemption, salvation, forgiveness, and His forever best company in the universe forever at His House!! And in the meantime, I really don’t think He would mind if we followed His example [of pressing through for the biggest thing in eternal life] for our little things in life. Whatever those little things are like kneading dough, cleaning out the closet, mowing the lawn, weeding the garden; taking out the trash . .  . I sure hope I have some young readers here :)

That’s it. That’s my lesson through bread kneading. So even if it does not rise and it does not taste worth eating, it wasn’t without reward. :)

looking away to the Initiator and Completer of that trusting, Yeshua — who, in exchange for obtaining the joy set before him, endured execution on a stake as a criminal, scorning the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Yes, think about him who endured such hostility against himself from sinners, so that you won’t grow tired or become despondent. [SOURCE]

Thanks for visiting with me and reading along.  I appreciate you, dear friends.

Number 8

Someone suggested to me recently that the 10 Commandments were out-dated, not enough law for this society. I beg to lovingly differ.

Conflict in point: 15) “Do not steal. Exodus 20

Not camel. Not lamb. Not land. Not tent. Not wife. Not husband. Not children. Not internet information. Not cable TV service. Not medical information. Not money. Not car. Not personal identity.

What part about ‘do not steal’ do we not understand?

Here’s a few question to clarify.
Did you earn it?
Did you buy it?
Did you create it?
Did someone of their own non-coerced volition give it to you because they loved you and/or wanted to help you?

No?
Then if you take it you are a thief! You broke the law. You stole it!

Get it? Got it! Good!

GOD gave us 10 commandments. Man refused to obey them; so man made more laws and is still making laws. And NOT ONE OF THOSE LAWS has EVER transformed ONE human being from being a law-breaker to a law-keeper.

24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Galatians 3 [source]

Life example: There’s a woman. When the speed limit is 45, she drives 45; not because she doesn’t want to go faster; not because she is afraid she will get a ticket from a police officer; but because she loves JESUS and He said to obey every law that does not violate HIM. (Acts 5:29) So she does. Not perfectly, but consistently.

Blunt Love

First we pray for the Holy Spirit’s assistance.

Then we begin a list of every portion of Scripture that we know we are violating and why it is that thus far we have refused to repent and cease to violate those portions of our Father’s Word.

Bluntly it came and lovingly it remains.

Psalm 119:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. Ps 119:9

This is the random verse that came to me this morning via my Phone App – Daily Bible Inspiration by JoyVerse after publishing this post last night.  I am thinking not a coincident. ❤️
