Scripture! So up to date!

Genesis 41:1 At the end of two years, Pharaoh had a dream: . . .

Do you know what is significant about that to me this morning?
In chapter 40, Joseph asked the Chief Cupbearer to remember him to the Pharaoh when he was restored to his position.
He didn’t.
So, here in Chapter 41, Joseph has been waiting in prison for 2 years, I imagine praying too, for an audience with the Pharaoh.
Two years – no word AND THEN.
I hope you will read it for yourself.

See verse 14. “. . . and they brought him quickly out of the dungeon. . . “

Another note:
It hurts my brain to think about the Eternity of GOD (you know like He has always been, with no beginning, no end, and always will be) but I am so grateful that HE IS.

That HE is NEVER wrong, never late tending to me, never unloving, always perfectly just, and never surprised by anything BUT HE can be PLEASED with us and by us.

We can bring DELIGHT to HIM.
Mind-bogglingly Amazing!!

Scarlet Thread

I am continuing to read Genesis. Amazing!
It’s so alive. So today!
I hope you are reading your Bibles too and that the Scriptures are more real, more alive than ever before.

What do you know about the Scarlet Thread? Genesis 38:28.

Do you know of another sighting of a Scarlet Thread? How about Joshua 2:18?

Yes, indeed, a Scarlet Thread is running through the Bible.
I hope you will watch for it as you read the Word daily.

That Kind of Heart

Genesis 7:1
Adonai said to Noach, “Come into the ark, you and all your household; for I have seen that you alone in this generation are righteous before me.  source CJB

How was it that Noah was righteous before GOD? 
I am reminded of other Scripture that speaks of a new heart and a heart that seeks GOD. 

So I thought as I read verse 1, seeking to obey GOD counts. 

A heart that seeks after Him to obey Him matters to Him. 

But the thing is we don’t have that kind of heart – the kind that seeks Him to obey Him BUT HE will give us that kind of heart IF we are willing to RECEIVE that kind of heart from Him. 

This was a delight to me this morning. I hope it is for you too.

This reminds me again this morning it is imperative for us to begin from conception to pray, read, and instruct our Babies to seek GOD. We all are born with corrupt hearts and from their YOUTH our Little Ones will go after vain imaginings and we must do all we can in DEED and Word to point them to JESUS. They will not look for HIM on their own.  Sadly, they just won’t. Neither did we. 

And if our Babies are way beyond the womb and have some years on them — we can start today, especially with the praying and the instructing as Holy Spirit leads.
