I pulled a few weeds from the yard today. It was thrilling when I grabbed a handful, and not only those but others closely attached came out too, and so easily. When I heard the sound of those roots letting go, I just about giggled out loud. Of course, I thought of the ones that are dug in and tenacious, and I thought how weeds remind me of sin.
Some sins can be pulled out of the garden of our souls fairly easily, whole families of sin! But then there are those we love more – and they take longer, more discipline. More prayer and even fasting.
Hence, with this thinking, I went looking for today’s Scripture. I hope it helps.
Narrow, meaning only One. Just One Way. Just You (no one else can do it for you). And Just you, meaning you can’t bring your love for sin along, leave it behind. Notice the Pic.
Only One. Only JESUS. HE is the only way to eternal life. He is the only way to Heaven.
It’s not a popular teaching, but it is the truth.
Matthew 7:14 “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” kjv
Not many days are left in this year of 2025. How much good can we pack into it before 2026 dawns.
I’m not saying it’s the healthiest (sourdough, I am told, is way better for us), but if you need some quick bread this celebrating season, this just might be the ticket.
I’ve made it several times, and if I can do it, you can do it!
I increase the health factor by using Spelt flour, olive oil, honey, and pasture-raised eggs (at least I hope I am). They are versatile; you can use them for more than just hamburger buns – just vary the shape of the dough before baking.
We are glad you are here; stay a while, look around, and be encouraged. We estimate there to be over 3,000 posts here at The White Stone Blog. Please know my hope is ALWAYS to help and NEVER harm. I have voiced many opinions and thoughts here since 2007 and by now I MAY NOT EVEN AGREE with all of them and some of my grammar and punctuation likely needs editing. But this is changeless: JESUS is our ONLY Savior and Hope. Do you KNOW Him?
