Today is support Chick-fil-A day.  It has been my prayer this morning that all 1600 stores will have a most successful day; that the Army of the LORD will show up in numbers and enjoy lots of chicken today. May the Body of CHRIST be bold in love and truth. May the Body of CHRIST be not ‘chicken’ today to reflect the LIGHT.

For sure. For sure it is DARKNESS that took, added to, and twisted the words of Dan Cathy for the purpose of calling attention to the deeds of reprobate minds. And in case you missed my post FYI click  HERE to read it now.

You may recall our prayers on the 30th for Richard and Jeri.  Richard’s surgery was a success! We are expecting a complete recovery and to our GREAT GOD will give glory and praise and thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff for being instruments in His hands of healing.

ABBA, thank You, thank You for Richard’s healing and for the skill and care of medicine. Another is having surgery today too and we ask for textbook perfect results today as well. And today  I pray that not one child who You have re-birthed will be cowardice or arrogant as we support this family business that has named Your Name. LORD JESUS, even as the unregenerate mind did not understand You when You cleansed the Temple, today they still do not understand and they continue to reject You. Thank You for continuing to love them anyway and thank You for continuing to hate the sin. I pray that blinded eyes will be opened and Your Gospel will dawn upon those groping in darkness. We continue to bring our sick and afflicted, our rebellious and oblivious to You for healing and rescue. I continue, ABBA, to pray for Your beloved Israel, asking for Your Peace to be upon them and for You to subdue their every enemy and, DADDY GOD, for America I pray You will be merciful; raise up Statesmen and Heroes of Your Gospel and save this Nation I pray.  Thank You, ABBA.

The following came to me today via email and I was so impressed with it that I just had to share it with you.

God is Orderly

Our God is an Awesome God in the things we take for granted……………. Always the same timing in the little things.

For example:
-the eggs of the potato bug hatch in 7 days;
-those of the canary in 14 days;
-those of the barnyard hen in 21 days;
-The eggs of ducks and geese hatch in 28 days;
-those of the mallard in 35 days;
-The eggs of the parrot and the ostrich hatch in 42 days.
(Notice, they are all divisible by seven, The number of days in a week!)

God’s wisdom is seen in the making of an elephant… The four legs of this great beast all bend forward in the same direction… No other quadruped is so made. Too large to live on two legs, God’s plan gave it four fulcrums so that it can rise from the ground easily.

The horse rises from the ground on its two front legs first.
A cow rises from the ground with its two hind legs first.
Each one has its way to do what it does.

Whatever the Lord makes is always very efficient.

He is a God of ORDER.

-Each watermelon has an even number of stripes on the rind.
-Each orange has an even number of segments.
-Each ear of corn has an even number of rows.
-Each stalk of wheat has an even number of grains.
-Every bunch of bananas grows with an even number of bananas on the bottom row. Each row up decreases by one. The next row has an odd number and the next row an even number and so forth. It never varies.
-The waves of the sea roll in on shore twenty-six waves to the minute, no matter if calm or stormy.

All grains are found in even numbers on the stalks, just as the Lord specified: thirty-fold, sixty-fold, and a hundredfold! (Mark 4:20)

God has caused the flowers to blossom at specified times during the day. Linnaeus, the great botanist, once said that if he had a conservatory containing the right kind of soil, moisture, and temperature, he could tell the time of day or night by the flowers that were open and those that were closed!

If everything on this earth were analyzed in this way, we would SEE the Lord in it, every bit of it!

When we let our lives be ordered by Him, He can make ALL the things work out for us, things that we can’t. Wisdom prays and asks Him for help, to make our life “WORK”.

The One Who made our brain and heart is also able to successfully guide us to a profitable end.

May God Bless You In Ways You Never Even Dreamed of, Today, Tomorrow, and all the Tomorrows to Come!

ABBA, thank You for this information. Thank You that You are ORDERLY! HOLY SPIRIT, I pray these facts and figures will bring each reader to a place of awe of YOU O LORD.

Such wisdom can be found reading any of Max Lucado’s books and I got this via email today. I had to share it because I believe someone else needs to hear it besides me. Enjoy!

Today I Will Make a Difference

Today I will make a difference. I will begin by controlling my thoughts. A person is the product of his thoughts. I want to be happy and hopeful. Therefore, I will have thoughts that are happy and hopeful. I refuse to be victimized by my circumstances. I will not let petty inconveniences such as stoplights, long lines, and traffic jams be my masters. I will avoid negativism and gossip. Optimism will be my companion, and victory will be my hallmark. Today I will make a difference.

A brief update and I will call this a post for Monday.

Summer is going well. GRANDS and I are enjoying each others’ company. I’m not getting a lot of writing time as you are well aware; not doing a lot of reading either but I believe a lot of ‘spiritual gardening’ is going on. I believe Jesus in me is making a difference.

Please continue to keep up your praying for our PFT and for me, if you will. I have some ‘wonder if I should-s’ and some ‘could it be-s’ taking up some thought and prayer space. A prayer or two for me to clearly discern ABBA’s Will would not be wasted. Much JESUS love and thank you-s to you all.

A No-Brainer

I have a quick thought this morning before I scurry off to a GRAND’s 6th grade graduation. 

Page 98 of James Banks book Praying for Prodigals reads in part this way:

“You know what it’s like to have a world full of prodigal children, and only one child who did what was right–your Son, our Savior! You love us so much, you “gave him up for us all” (Romans 8:32)!”

Can you imagine giving up your one and only child who does right for a bunch of no goods who deliberately choose to do wrong?!!

GOD DID!

Can ANY ONE fault Him for denying entry into HIS Heaven to ANY ONE (and Every One) who rejects the Sacrifice of HIS ONE and ONLY SON?

It really is a no-brainer, isn’t it?

Romans 8:32 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)

32 He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

And as a bonus look again at the verse: SINCE He gave us Salvation in His One and Only Son will He not freely give us all other things we need?

Like I said, it’s a no-brainer! 

Are we challenged today to use the MIND OF CHRIST?  That is the only way we are going to THINK right, don’t you think?  :)

Got Sheila home yesterday!! And got to spend some time with Baby Girl! A RED LETTER day for sure!!

Thank You, ABBA, for James Banks and the writing skills and the messages You gave him for us. And as I read and prayed this morning, I pray again: I pray for our prodigals that they will turn to You, LORD, for Your sake and for theirs.
HOLY SPIRIT, move us to crown this day with goodness given us through JESUS, our SAVIOR and LORD.  And again we ask You heal our sick and afflicted that we bring before You in these moments. Amen and  ___.
