Or More

I’m considering people today.  They are amazing, you know.

Just think about someone you know; a family member perhaps. What they like; what they don’t; what they are good at; what just turns their stomach. Like, some just adore babies, anybody’s baby; just get a baby within sight and they are drawn to that little one like a magnet to a skillet. Or perhaps not. Perhaps another says I wouldn’t take a million dollars for any one of my children but I wouldn’t give you a nickel for another one. Seriously. It’s been said.

People are amazing! So individual. So different. The Great Designer laid out a pattern to join cells, organs, circulatory systems, bones, muscles, tissue, DNA; following the same pattern for each and every unique human specimen – no two exactly alike; unless you consider this: each and every model must have oxygen, water, food and love or it will die.

So when I consider people, their likes, their dislikes, their habits, everything that makes them who they are – so different from me. They need just what I need: oxygen, water, food, (oh yeah, clothes and a place to live are pretty much a necessity too) and love.  And the greatest of these is love.

So here’s what I’m thinking.
Oxygen. Perhaps I will not be called upon often to share my supply with another but could I not somehow offer a prayer or more for One laboring to breathe?
Water. Such a precious thing. Those of us with an abundant supply could be moved to help those lacking this vital necessity. Perhaps we could start with thanksgiving as we turn on the faucet and that clean, clear, life-sustaining supply wets our toothbrushes. Perhaps our thanks will inspire us to pray (or more) for water for those so thirsty.
Food. Oh my goodness. How do I even broach this? Could I open my frig and my pantry and give thanks? Could I contribute to a food pantry?
Love. God is love the Bible says. Do I have love? Do I dwell in love?

15 Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food, 16 and someone says to him, “Shalom! Keep warm and eat hearty!” without giving him what he needs, what good does it do? via James 2 KJV;CJB – My brethren, have not the faith of our – Bible Gateway.
17 If someone has worldly possessions and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how can he be loving God? 18 Children, let us love not with words and talk, but with actions and in reality! via 1 John 3 KJV;CJB – Behold, what manner of love the Father – Bible Gateway.

I have to tell you my Friends, I stepped into this one; and with His help and His grace I am ready for Him to enable me to walk in it.

Thank you for listening.

Day 240 of 2014, a day to give Thanks.

Kathie

ABBA, I had no idea when we began this that we were going here but now that we are here, I pray for Your grace, conviction, direction, discernment, wisdom, resources, determination and most of all Your love to walk it out for Your glory.  Hold my feet to the fire I pray in YESHUA’s holy name.

Heavy

My thoughts have turned heavy.
You see death has knocked at the gate of my world, twice lately. One in confidence of Eternal Life and one with uncertain doubts.

39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.
40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

via Luke 23 KJV;CJB – And the whole multitude of them arose, – Bible Gateway.

And so this passage lets us know there are death-bed confessions; that JESUS will forgive and give Eternal Life to those turning to Him even at the point of death; but waiting is risky.

What if there is no time at that time to cry out to Him? What if One’s waiting has turned too long and the HOLY SPIRIT has ceased to convict? (Genesis 6:3) What if you have said “no” so many times your heart is too cold to repent and He does not offer?

44 No one can come to me unless the Father — the One who sent me — draws him. And I will raise him up on the Last Day. 45 It is written in the Prophets, ‘They will all be taught by Adonai.’ Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from him comes to me.

via John 6:43-45 KJV;CJB – Jesus therefore answered and said unto – Bible Gateway.

Heavy thoughts.

So why wait? When the HOLY SPIRIT reveals to the soul of a man, women or youth, that a Savior is needed and JESUS is that Savior, why wait? Why run the risk? Even if hell were not hot and dark; one thing it is is enough to cry out to miss it.

There is NO love there!

Here on planet earth there is a measure of love that ALL receive and give – not so there. None to give and none to receive – that is enough to make it hell! Does not the Scripture tell us GOD IS LOVE? (I John 4:15-17) So subtract HIM and you have subtracted love. That tells me friends here won’t be friends there. Get the picture? Then why wait? Why put your family through the agony of not knowing.  Say YES to JESUS. Say YES now! Let your LIFE here and now give solid evidence that you have said YES! Have questions? email me

Day 93 of 2014, praying for revival in the Body of CHRIST.

A Wednesday Extra

What if?

What if we are seeking the EXPERIENCE of GOD and not actually seeking HIM?

Is that possible?

And what does that look like? How would we know?

How can we tell the difference? Is there a difference?

These are not rhetorical questions. :)

Your help would be appreciated on this 36th day of 2014,

Kathie

14 then, if my people, who bear my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face and turn from their evil ways, I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land.
