Election Day 2024

And when we are made privy to the outcome, then what?

Christians, if we get what we say we want, what are we going to do?

Are we going to breathe a sigh of relief and go back to our normal habits? Will we still pray as much? Will we proclaim the Gospel of JESUS The CHRIST? Were we proclaiming the Gospel these last four years or were we screaming about temporary discomforts and inconveniences?  Were we all bent out of shape for four years now over the mockery of truth and justice longstanding here? Did we submit ourselves to GOD for Him to shape us to Truth and Justice according to The Scriptures?

What will we do when this election day is over?

What is GOD interested in with this election? The election outcome?
He has already decided.
He knows. Who did He choose?
And why?
Did He hear the cry of the people for a king? He did when Israel demanded a king. He gave them what they demanded – Saul! It didn’t go well for them with Saul.

What/who is America asking for?
HE heard us long before today. The decision was made all these years by what has been done in the every day lives of We The People.

Again I ask, is America asking for Truth and Justice according to The Scriptures or is America demanding laws to kill their children with sexual perversion and mutilation outside the womb and abortion inside the womb? Is America screaming for relief from responsibilities and accountability for their personal decisions and actions? Is America warring for “freedom” to sin with no consequences?

An awakening of one kind or the other is on the horizon.

This I know. GOD is faithful and HE is worthy of our trust – HE is longsuffering and patient BUT there is an end to His longsuffering with the sins of We The People.

The wait will soon be over — then what?

Essence

I’ve been thinking about this for several days — longer than I usually do before I come here to write.  It started with a Facebook post I saw.  It’s been enough days ago that I cannot remember the friend whose page it was found or exactly what it said, but I remember the essence of it.

It was an attempt to relate to others; to make others feel better about themselves; to not feel so bad when they mess up — when they sin. It was about admitting we struggle; admitting we don’t have it all together; admitting that we struggle with the same sins over and over.  I get that. Even so, I think it is erroneous.  Yes. I think it is erroneous and I think it does not honor the GOD we are trying to introduce to others.

Where’s the victory? Where’s the GOOD NEWS?  The Good News that says we can, we are living in victory? The Good News that says not only am I forgiven, but I have been changed! I no longer desire to do the things I used to do — HE is delivering me from who I was to who I am becoming in CHRIST JESUS.

Don’t get me wrong; I am not suggesting we deny our sins, neither, am I saying we should put on a high and mighty, lying persona.
I am saying it’s time we get some victory to rejoice about and tell others about.
It’s time we start rejoicing in the truth that we are learning to walk out our salvation and we are by GOD’s grace and because of His Work in us becoming more and more like JESUS daily.

Now isn’t that better than gathering a few friends via Facebook or in real time and having a pity party?  Wouldn’t a victory party in JESUS’s name do them and you and me a whole lot more good?!

I think so too. Philippians 2

A Walk in the Street

Saturday’s sun has set, and lights are now glowing in all the houses on our street, including ours. Football is being played, and I just wanted to say hello.

Today was Pioneer Day in a small, happy town near us, so we seized the opportunity for an outing with two little great-grands. I don’t often share pictures, for privacy reasons, of course, but perhaps a few just this once will be a happy for us all.

When all the pioneering was done and we were safely home again, Little One asked for a walk in the street. He knows walking our slow, quiet neighborhood street is a no-no without a grown-up tagging along. It was a delightful walk, especially since we found this. img_3882-1 The picture certainly does not do it justice with the splendid late afternoon sun dancing on pink but we hope you enjoy it.

That’s all for now. Happy coming soon Sunday, my Friends.

Really Really Real

approximate read time: 1 minute

I’ve been reading John 14-17.  If you want to learn JESUS, read those chapters and all of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

But for now, back to John 17, in particular, these verses:

24 Father, I want those You have given Me to be with Me where I am, that they may see the glory You gave Me because You loved Me before the foundation of the world. 25 Righteous Father, although the world has not known You, I know You, and they know that You sent Me. 26 And I have made Your name known to them and will continue to make it known, so that the love You have for Me may be in them, and I in them.” SOURCE

Does your mind ever wander and you find yourself thinking, is He really coming back; is heaven really real; will I really go there when this body wears out and I leave it?

If we have the assurance of His Salvation within us, YES.
Yes, He really is coming back.
Yes, heaven is really, really, REAL.
Yes, we will go there IF we have been born again.  NicodemusJohn 3

We can not fathom HIM or heaven, but we try. bright-sun-shining-thru-clouds-862x485-1614795802

So who do we see JESUS to be in these passages?
The Saviour Who Loves Us. The Saviour Who actually WANTS us to be with HIM.

Are you somehow, not sure how, but somehow you just KNOW that you know that HE loves you?
Good!
Keep seeking HIM. Keep reading HIM and you will learn HIM.
That’s my mission. I hope it is yours too.

We are glad you are here; stay a while, look around, and be encouraged. We estimate there to be over 3,000 posts here at The White Stone Blog. Please know my hope is ALWAYS to help and NEVER harm. I have voiced many opinions and thoughts here since 2007 and by now I MAY NOT EVEN AGREE with all of them and some of my grammar and punctuation likely needs editing. But this is changeless: JESUS is our ONLY Savior and Hope. Do you KNOW Him?
