For Good. For Sure.

I said this verse aloud many times yesterday particularly at yesterday’s doings related to Chick-fil-A.

20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me, but God meant it unto good to bring to pass as it is this day, to save many people alive.

via Genesis 50:19-21 KJ21 – And Joseph said unto them, “Fear – Bible Gateway.

However, all my quoting was only part of the verse: what they mean for evil, God means for good.

And it is true. Proven out yesterday by the overwhelming amount of chicken sold! It was not about chicken. It’s about freedom.  And even those who have not said yes to JESUS yet understood that. Today, however, I am looking to the rest of that verse: to save many people alive.

Let us not forget that when ABBA turns the evil of the LEFT to good for the RIGHT, yes we enjoy that; yes, we want that; but, the greater purpose is to save many people alive. Let us not get in the way of that!

Tomorrow is purportedly set to be a day of protest. It is more than distasteful to me but I urge you if you happen to encounter a protester, please do NOT give them any additional reasons to ‘glory in their sin’.  Treat them with kindness, by no means condone their sin but in no way judge them beyond the realm of GOD to be saved. Do not damn them to hell before the time by any of your words or gestures.  For sure. For sure I am speaking most sternly to myself here. I am praying to be a shining example of the love and righteousness of JESUS CHRIST.  For you see the sin of homosexuality is offensive to me. It is offensive to me because it is offensive to my ABBA. I am compelled by Him to hate what He hates and love what He loves. He hates sin. He loves people.  And it is HE alone that can teach you and me to do as He does. I am urging us to allow Him to do this in us.

Let us cease to expect any of the peoples of this world to understand the Law and Love of GOD. (I Cor. 2:14) The reality of the Love and Law of GOD (they want the Love but not the Law) is foreign to any unregenerate mind. They cannot comprehend it and they never will unless CHRIST in us lights the way for them.  And we will NEVER light the way for them by condoning their sin or damning them in the here and now.

Now I confess to you, I don’t have a clue in this moment how to walk this out in the world out there. Here at my dining table it is easy to write what we must do. Out there where our feet hit the pavement is a different world. But our GOD is able. Let us decide here and now where it is safe that we will exalt and honor our Savior with our words and our deeds out there where the Evil One is seeking whom he may devour.

Let it not be us!!

14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”

15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye not be consumed one by another.

16 This I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

ABBA, I so need help practicing Seeking You First and as I do I am certain in the moment You will give me words and deeds that will honor You and help our enemies find the road to repentance and salvation.  I pray for myself and for every dear one that comes here to read and to pray that You, HOLY SPIRIT, will encourage us and motivate us to seek You first today, all day.  LORD JESUS, and now we bring our sick and afflicted to You and we ask You to heal them. And we are not forgetting those who by their own testimony are rebellious and oblivious to You; thank You for not giving up on them and we pray they will yet be saved and rescued. And Israel. What a glorious future You have for them. Thank You. I look forward to see that day for them. And America. You love us so much. Thank You. Help us repent. HOLY SPIRIT, please raise up holy Statesmen and Heroes to lead the way.  Thank You, ABBA.

Before my eyes opened this morning, my mind was set on pondering clean hands.

Psalm 24:4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

2 Samuel 22:21 “ The Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me.

via 2 Samuel 22:20-22 NASB – “He also brought me forth into a – Bible Gateway.

Job 17:9 The righteous also shall hold to his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger.

via Job 17:8-10 KJ21 – Upright men shall be astonished at – Bible Gateway.

Psalm 18:20 The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath He recompensed me.

via Psalm 18:19-21 KJ21 – He brought me forth also into a large – Bible Gateway.

James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

I think He is serious.

He wants us to clean our hands.

Clean hands is also a legal term. (check out the link below for even more defining)

The clean hands doctrine is a rule of law that someone bringing a lawsuit or motion and asking the court for equitable relief must be innocent of wrongdoing or unfair conduct relating to the subject matter of his/her claim.

And I believe the medical community will bear out that unclean hands will make you sick and spread disease.

It’s important to have clean hands.

Legally

Medically

Spiritually

Unclean spiritual hands spread sin – the most deadly of all diseases.

Got clean hands?

I pray, ABBA, that today I will surrender to Your wisdom that my hands be clean today. I pray for each One who comes here to read and pray that they too will submit to clean hands. I ask You, HOLY SPIRIT, to raise up Statesmen and Heroes in America who have clean hands. I pray for Israel for Her peace and for the subduing of all Her enemies.  And for our sick and afflicted, we bring them this morning asking You to heal them. And the Rebellious and Oblivious for whom we are much concerned, we ask that You tender their hearts and bring them to clean hands as well. Teach us, LORD, about clean hands and how to have them for Your glory and our good.

Up and Out of There!

Mark 9:29 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
29 And He said unto them, “This kind can come forth by nothing but by prayer and fasting.”

I was reminded of this verse this morning while pulling weeds from the front walk flower bed.

A few of the weeds pulled up easily, the rest were a bit more stubborn; hanging on to the soil in which they were entrenched with all tenacity. But alas I won and out they came, bringing a bit of the soil with them but that was okay, they were up and out of my garden!

Get the picture? Keep praying. Fasting if you need to until those stubborn betting sins are up and out of there!

Hebrews 12:1 English Standard Version (ESV) 1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

Be of good courage! Take heart and keep tugging on those stubborn weeds until they are uprooted and gone! In other words: keep resisting the pull of the fleshly desires that are marring the beauty of your life and as you resist, rely on the power of JESUS CHRIST to uproot even the clingiest ones! 

Thank You, ABBA, for the exercise this morning in ridding myself of clinging and stubborn sins.  I pray this lesson will help others too. And persistently we come to prayer with our sick and afflicted and I ask that You heal and restore them. And our rebellious and oblivious, thank You for continuing to pursue them; HOLY SPIRIT, please help them stop and allow You to apprehend them. I pray for Israel, for Her peace and the subduing of all her enemies. I pray for America that You will have mercy and save us, ABBA, for You very own Name Sake.

Just Asking. . .

I John 4:16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

I wonder what this day would be like if you and I believed – I mean REALLY believed that GOD, THE GOD of this Universe LOVES us – I mean REALLY loves us.

What would REALLY believing that do for our respect for ourselves and others?

What would it do for our words when someone cuts us off in traffic?

What would it do for us when the pantry is as low as the checking account?

What would it do for us when her fever is 104 degrees and the doctors don’t know why?

What would it do for us when he is a cheater and seems to be getting by with it?

What would it do for us when she lies and yet gets the promotion and we don’t?

And the ‘what would it do-s’ could go on and on.  You have a few in mind yourself, don’t you?

So why don’t we believe more?

What would it take for us to believe more?

And will we do what it takes?

Just asking.  Who’s answering?

I’m asking ABBA. Asking and believing that You, HOLY SPIRIT, are speaking this morning and You are enabling every seeking, honest heart to believe. To believe more deeply Your love for us. And in that believing we will be changed; that hope and faith, love and compassion will grow in us and in the growing of these things Your Joy will abound in us; for our own well-being and that of others and Your Kingdom, ABBA.  We would not forget You have invited, even commanded us to bring our sick and afflicted for prayer, asking You, LORD JESUS, to heal them and restore them. And as many times before the rebellious and oblivious we bring, trusting You to pursue them until they surrender to Your LORDSHIP.  I pray for Israel, for Her peace and the subduing of all her enemies, for Her protection and well-being, for strategic wisdom, all that is needed for Her to have the peace and provisions that You have promised. And I pray for America. ABBA, please save this Nation. Surely there are 10 righteous that You will spare and save America for Your Name Sake.
