Allow Me To Introduce

you to Bryan Daniels, a fellow Christian Brother in Blog Land.

I am still thinking about his post that I read last evening. It has been an instrument in the Hands of the HOLY SPIRIT to increase my praying faith and I’d like to share a portion of it with you and when you have read the following portion I am certain you will want to read the whole of it at Bryan’s blog address.

“If I am not convinced that God can accomplish my son’s salvation and prepare him for an apprehension of grace, what motivation for prayer is there?

This is a weighty privilege and responsibility for parents. Our supplications can be one of the many tiny levers that has helped set the great wheel of God’s sovereignty into motion for our child’s salvation. In prayer, we place our child’s destiny into the caring hands of the merciful Father, for God forbid these precious ones be left up to their own fallen devices.

I know there is tension and mystery on the subject of human responsibility and divine sovereignty. His sovereignty does not negate our responsibility, but rather should motivate and empower it. The God who can be trusted on as a loving Father, can also be depended on to carry out his purposes as a powerful King.

So I pray over my son every night. Standing on the undying promises of a King who can never be thwarted (Eph 1:11):

“God you make Josiah a man of God, You make him a man after Your own heart…You give him a heart of flesh to know You and fear You, and You save him by Your grace.” (Ezekiel 36:26-36).

I know without the Holy Spirit moving on his little heart he will have no inclination to repent and believe the gospel in his lifetime (Eph 2:3-5).

At the conclusion of our bedtime prayer Josiah looks up at me as I say “In Jesus Name.” And he always responds with a hearty drawn out, “Aaaaamen!!!” or, as the word means, ”So be it!”

A three year old knows his utter dependence on the Father’s mercy. Let us find that same childlike dependence in prayer, and our interceding and going and preaching will not be with vain appeals of man-centered movement, but with the Father’s blessing and divine power.

ABBA, I realize the corruption, the derogation and more that saturates the world-wide web and yet You and Your people can be found here setting forth Your Gospel.  Thank You. Thank You, ABBA, for allowing us to live in this generation.  And yet as I say that to You I am thinking okay since I am in this generation with all it’s corruption and media means to communicate, let me not fail to be faithful to embrace, even  seize, every avenue to present Your Gospel.  Thank You for calling us, allowing us, to be co-laborers with You. And as Bryan pointed out to me in some other messages he penned, before charging the public, let me, let us, pray and pray in our private closets until we hear clearly from You the way YOU want us to reach that One and Another with Your Gospel.  You are so AWESOME to allow us this relationship/fellowship with You. Thank You, DADDY GOD. And in this moment now I pray for all who come here to pray, that You will gift us and fill us with Faith. Faith to trust, faith to labor with You for the souls of man. For sure there are needs in the people who come here, if not themselves, for those they love and care for who have broken hearts and homes, sicknesses and diseases, lacks and wants and so I ask You, HOLY SPIRIT, to attend to each in Your own perfect way with love and grace, mercy, forgiveness healings, provisions and restoration. And, ABBA, I am mindful and grateful to bring this petition solely in and on the Merits of JESUS the CHRIST, my Savior. Amen and . . .

Places

While praying for someone especially close and dear, I thought of you all. It’s a hope in JESUS for you that is possible and in my thinking so desirable.

That your homes  be places in which JESUS is the welcomed and loved King; places filled with prayer and praise; where the Bible is treasured, is the most read of all books and is consistently obeyed; where laughter is abundant and love prevails. Places where reason replaces shouting matches; where chaos is banished and order is welcomed; where cooperation replaces bickering and unhealthy competition. Seems idyllic, doesn’t it? Yet JESUS makes it possible.   Let us pray for it till we get it!

Isaiah 32: 17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance for ever.

18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings and in quiet resting places

ABBA, thank You. It has not been the morning I planned but I am blessed that it is still well with my soul; I praise You and You alone for that. Thank You. And, HOLY SPIRIT, as I think about this home-life description, it does seem idyllic, perhaps like an impossible dream to some, but day by day, step by step progress can be made; You can be welcomed in a moment as KING and Your Presence can be learned and practiced. Make it so for each soul, each home, that comes here to pray. Thank You for each One, attend them today I pray. We have many matters in mind, some sitting heavy on hearts — You know them least I name them here; least others name them; You know and we thank You for knowing; knowing what is needed; knowing how to position souls to say yes and it is for that we pray; that souls will say yes to You and yield to the homes You have for us. We continue to remember the political arena and personally, ABBA, I am asking You for mercy and revival for us all. I am asking You to rain down grace to repent. I am asking You, HOLY SPIRIT, to convict and convince of sin, of righteousness and judgement to come; as Prophets of Old pleaded for mercy and repented of sin, so do we, ABBA.  Encourage the weary I pray, heal the sick and restore the fallen and let us enter into this Work with You, resting wholly and solely on the merits of JESUS our Savior.

Bad Press

A new television series airing on ABC on March 4, 2012 was brought to my attention today.Truthfully I was completely unaware of ABC’s intent. Furthermore, I now understand that it was scheduled to air last Fall but One Million Moms was influential in getting the premier delayed.

I appreciate One Million Moms for the work they are doing. It takes courage to stand against sin in the marketplace and their stand is creating a stir.

I am not opposed to boycotts. I have participated in a few myself. But you know, boycotts would not be necessary and series like the one set to premier would not be produced if every man, woman, boy and girl in America who says they are a Christian lived like one.

I watched some trailers of the subject series and from them, I gathered it centers around a collection of females who frequent church services, have knowledge of a Scripture or two, call themselves Christians but who obviously to me at least have no acquaintance with the Author of the Bible and have never read the Bible for purposes of correcting their behavior.

Why would Writers and Producers offer this series?
Could it be because there is an audience for it?
And I am wondering how many ‘Christians’ will actually watch the series and find it humorous?

And how far from real life is it?
Do not church-goers call themselves Christians and yet they dress, talk, act and react just like non-believers?
Is it any wonder television and other forms of media mock and ridicule Christianity?
Yes. I am alarmed.
Truth is though I think I am going to have to admit I am angry.  But I’m not angry at the creators of the show.  Really I’m not. What else could I expect of them?
I think I am angry at wolves in sheep’s clothing and people who go to church on Sunday and live like hell the rest of the week.

But let me wrap this up with this plead: Please. If you Name the Name of Christ and you have no intention of getting into the SCRIPTURES to learn how by God’s grace  to dress, talk, act and react as the Bible reveals is becoming a Christian, by all means PLEASE keep your ‘profession of Christianity’ to yourself. Do not tell a living soul that you are a Christian – we have more than enough bad press from television, movies and Washington.

Truly it is not my intention to be harsh or unkind and I am remembering that JESUS said be angry and sin not and let not the sun go down on my wrath and by His grace I am obeying Him. It is my hope that my plea will startled someone into stopping long enough to allow the HOLY SPIRIT to speak.

Romans 13:10-12
21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awaken out of sleep; for now is our salvation nearer than when we first believed.
12 The night is far spent; the day is at hand. Let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

Fortunate

As I begin to write, I have doubts this writing will make post; unless the Sweet HOLY SPIRIT cleans it up. You see I am way angry tonight and have been almost all day. I’m angry at greed, corruption and the lack of power I FEEL to correct or fight against injustice.

One I am angry that hubby and I had to pay out today for something that I am quite certain when I get one more piece of evidence will show the expenditure was graft.

Two I am angry that banking establishments have set legal albeit unethical procedures in place for the sole purpose of increasing their profits at our expense.

Three I am angry that I personally cannot reason with the powers that be (or their blind followers) who are destroying this Nation.

Four I am angry that without a turn of events that I cannot fathom, in November I will have no choice but to vote for a candidate that does not deserve my vote.

Five I am angry that here and there and just about everywhere I look, there is willful blindness, greed, idolatry, waste, reprobate living, just out-and-out stupidity.

I’m not the only one who sees it this way.

Romans 1:21-22Amplified Bible (AMP)
21 Because when they knew and recognized Him as God, they did not honor and glorify Him as God or give Him thanks. But instead they became futile and godless in their thinking [with vain imaginings, foolish reasoning, and stupid speculations] and their senseless minds were darkened.
22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools [professing to be smart, they made simpletons of themselves].
via Romans 1:21-23 AMP – Because when they knew and recognized – Bible Gateway.

Ephesians 4:17-19 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
18 having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them because of the blindness of their heart,
19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over unto lasciviousness to work all uncleanness with greediness.
via Ephesians 4:17-19 KJ21 – This I say therefore and testify in the – Bible Gateway.

2 Peter 3:3 knowing this first: that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts
4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.”
5 For of this they are willfully ignorant: . . .
via 2 Peter 3 KJ21 – This second epistle beloved I now write – Bible Gateway.

8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing: that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the Day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat. The earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy manner of living and godliness,
12 looking for and hastening unto the coming of the Day of God, wherein the heavens, being on fire, shall be dissolved and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Therefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless.
via 2 Peter 3 KJ21 – This second epistle beloved I now write – Bible Gateway.

How fortunate for this Nation that the Author of this Scripture is in deed merciful and long-suffering. How fortunate for me He is in complete control. And somehow before I lay my head on my pillow tonight I will by His grace release this anger to Him, receiving His grace to trust and continue to occupy in this hostile land until He returns.

Your prayers for me to remain faithful in this perverse generation are appreciated.

1 John 1:9 21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
