Family

Day 13 – Family

I am thankful for family. And in this particular moment for a GRAND. He’s 9 and he’s standing at my elbow as I type reminding me how important family is. How blessed we are with children and grandchildren, sisters and brothers, moms and dads (either here on earth with us or waiting in Glory).

As Logan said, families have their ups and downs but LOVE holds us together. He’s right. LOVE is the life-blood of the family and the giving of thanks keeps love flowing – there will be no clogged arteries for those with thankful hearts. :)

Ephesians 3:14-16 New International Version (NIV)
14 For this reason I kneel before the Father,
15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.
16 I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being,

  1. Kathie, love THIS: “LOVE is the life-blood of the family and the giving of thanks keeps love flowing – there will be no clogged arteries for those with thankful hearts.” You need to frame this!

Thanks for sharing at The Loft!

  2. What a wonderful thought – thankfulness blowing away clogged hearts. Really! That’s true! There’s healing them thar words. Your a true blessing, Chris

  3. I love this. Yes, Logan it is love that holds us together.
I was also reminded and thankful for the extended family that God has given me. When my children needed a grandmother, God sent a woman in our church who had no grandchildren who also needed us.
When I needed friends to help me grow up in the Lord, God moved a group of young mothers to the same area to help each other.
