Day 17 – Rabbits
1 Corinthians 2: New American Standard Bible (NASB)
14 But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.

I could have titled this differently as it is not technically rabbits for which I am thankful. Not that I have anything against rabbits, you understand.
I suppose it has been close to half an hour now that I had a chest-heaving case of hiccups. You know the kind, so strong that your chest hurts every time you hiccup. I admit it, it sounds foolish but thus far it has worked every time. My hubby counts rabbits with me and my hiccups go away.
It works like this: One rabbit. Two rabbits. Three rabbits. But there is a catch – you have to say rabbits like Elmer Fudd. One wabbit. Two wabbits. Three wabbits. It did not take many wabbits and it was bye-bye hiccups.
Wabbits and hiccups – foolishness? Perhaps. But my hiccups are gone.
The Gospel foolish to the natural man? Perhaps. But my sins are gone and Heaven is my home. Sometimes it pays to look foolish.
One wabbit. Two wabbits. Three wabbits.
