A very special day for me. Seventeen years ago today a man-child was born – my first-born GRAND. I gladly gave him my heart, he still has it – albeit he does have to share 🙂 now. Happy Birthday, Jeff. Your Mamaw loves you!!
Yesterday I said I was thankful for clean clothes.
Today (day 2) I say I am thankful for candles, highly fragrant and made in the USA ones.
Some translations read candle, and some read lamp; my ‘considered’ opinion is that lamp is most appropriate but for the sake of congruity here, read candle for lamp in the passages following. ( 🙂 humor me)
Psalm 18:28 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
28 LORD, You light my lamp; my God illuminates my darkness.
via Psalm 18:28 HCSB – LORD You light my lamp; my God – Bible Gateway.
Proverbs 31: Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
17 She draws on her strength and reveals that her arms are strong.
18 She sees that her profits are good, and her lamp never goes out at night.
via Proverbs 31:17-19 HCSB – She draws on her strength and reveals – Bible Gateway.
Ephesians 5: Amplified Bible (AMP)
1 THEREFORE BE imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father].
2 And walk in love, [esteeming and delighting in one another] as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a slain offering and sacrifice to God [for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance.
via Ephesians 5:1-3 AMP – THEREFORE BE imitators of God copy Him – Bible Gateway.
Psalm 145:3 Amplified Bible (AMP)
3 Great is the Lord and highly to be praised; and His greatness is [so vast and deep as to be] unsearchable.
via Psalm 145:3 AMP – Great is the Lord and highly to be – Bible Gateway.
