Run and Leap

29 (28) “For you, Adonai, light my lamp; Adonai, my God, lights up my darkness.
30 (29) With you I can run through a whole troop of men, with my God I can leap a wall.
31 (30) “As for God, his way is perfect, the word of Adonai has been tested by fire; he shields all who take refuge in him.
32 (31) “For who is God but Adonai? Who is a Rock but our God?
33 (32) “It is God who girds me with strength; he makes my way go straight.

via Ps 18 KJV;CJB – I will love thee, O LORD, my strength. – Bible Gateway.

I figure we all have some running to do and some walls to leap and this Word from our ABBA is just the encouragement we need. So may I urge you to read these verses multiple times today and allow them to do the work our Father intends for us today.

I have a friend scheduled for surgery this morning (Thursday) and I would appreciate your prayers for a textbook perfect procedure and recovery.  And I suspect some of you have requests as well; if you are of a mind to share them with me, please do so. email me

Thank You for every ounce of strength You give us, ABBA. Thank You for hearing our prayers. Thank You for Your Word that is alive and true; You are transforming our lives with Your Word and we are so grateful. Thank You. I pray now for Carolyn and I ask You for a textbook perfect procedure with no complications and a steady and soon recovery. And I am thinking of a funeral service tomorrow and the family who is grieving; only You can bring good from this and that is my petition, ABBA, that good come from this tragedy and that this death not be in vain. ABBA, I am still thinking of Jamie thanking You again for the life she lived here and the life she is now living with You. Thank You for the wisdom and comfort You are giving all who love her. Israel. Always thinking of Your People; praying for peace, praying for the subduing of their enemies and for the fulfillment of all Your promises to them; praying for Your Truth to come and set them free. And praying too, ABBA, for our own nation. I am so sorry for our sins and I ask You to forgive us and to grant repentance to America. And as I bring this to a close for this time, ABBA, I pray for every one who visits us here that You will be honored and pleased with our worship and our praise and that each of us will give You glory with our thoughts, our words and our deeds in Yeshua’s mighty name I pray.

Sharing Information

I happened upon a website today that I’d like to share with you. We are counseled again and again by leaders of the Christian Faith to pray for the Peace of Israel. It is Scriptural.

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:

via Psalm 122:5-7 KJV;CJB – For there are set thrones of judgment, – Bible Gateway.

How many facets of Peace for Israel can we pray for? Many. I hope you will carefully consider the PDF that I am attaching hereto. It can also be found on the website I visited today: Jerusalem Prayer Team. There is a Live Feed from the Kotel (Western Wall) on the website. It is a connection I treasure.

HowToPrayForThePeaceOfJerusalem

In the above linked PDF written by Dr. Mike Evans, among the many prayers offered, I found this one:
“Lord of Glory, as evil hearts devise wickedness against Your Holy City, I pray that You will cause their knees to bow before You. In the place where You have set Your Name, bring peace around Your throne. Even so come and bring peace to this earth.”  (page 5)

And this one:
“God of battles, You selected Jerusalem from all the cities of the earth as the place to establish Your name forever. You chose Your servant David as the leader and defender of Your people. Keep Your covenant with him today and arise to defend Jerusalem from destruction.”
(page 4)

And one more I’ll share here with you:
“God of Heaven and earth, protect the schools and the school children who are being targeted by enemy terrorists. Watch over the families who trust in Your name. Provide jobs and sufficient income for every family and reveal to them that it is by Your mercy and grace alone so they may come to believe in You, the One True God and Your Son Messiah Yeshua, in Jesus’ Name!”
(page 8)

There are many many others.

I hope you will find this book How to Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem as helpful and enlightening as I have.

Blessings my friends.

Day 71 of 2014, praying for revival in the Body of CHRIST.

ABBA, thank You for leading us; thank You for loving us, and thank You for giving us the privilege to pray for Israel, for the Body of Christ, and for the Peoples of the world.  As we gather here there are troubled hearts, wounded souls, illnesses, and diseases of sundry kinds, and so we come trusting You to heal and make new in Yeshua’s Mighty name.

Cruel Strangers

1 From: Ya‘akov, a slave of God and of the Lord Yeshua the Messiah To: The Twelve Tribes in the Diaspora: Shalom!

via James KJV;CJB – James, a servant of God and of the Lord – Bible Gateway.

Shalom!
Peace.

Among his first words to the Twelve Tribes in Diaspora he said PEACE. They are dispersed from their homeland and he says peace. Let your mind take the time to sense this Diaspora. Perhaps it meant their property had been seized from them; all their comforts and all things familiar forcibly removed from their sight, their touch; their security, their safety stolen; all they had worked to accumulate now squandered and consumed by others.  And James says Peace?  Yes. He said peace. Peace to you.

He also said he was a slave too. A slave of GOD; a slave of the LORD YESHUA. Perhaps we can gather from this that we are all going to be a slave to somebody or something and we would be far better served to voluntarily be a slave – one surrendered to the Lordship of the Son of GOD. We can be assured when we surrender our being and all our possessions to JESUS we will have peace even in the presence of cruel strangers and strange circumstances.

33 “I have said these things to you so that, united with me, you may have shalom. In the world, you have *tsuris. But be brave! I have conquered the world!”

via John 16:33 KJV;CJB – These things I have spoken unto you, – Bible Gateway.

* trouble; woe. via tsuris – definition of tsuris by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.

I like the rendition BRAVE. It does not mean that I will not sense fear; it just means I will not allow my fear to immobilize me; I will move in step with JESUS even when I am afraid – I will be brave!

So do you think PEACE brings Bravery?

Yeah. Me too!
