Refuge

Reading Psalm 46 this morning.  Hear a verse or two.

(1) God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble. [source]

Refuge: a recourse for aid or escape. [source] GOD is our recourse for aid or escape. Today. Whichever benefits us most, aid through it or an escape from it; He IS it!  And ever-present to boot! His refuge and strength NEVER run out on us!

Verse 2

11 (10) “Desist, and learn that I am God,
supreme over the nations,
supreme over the earth.”  [source]

Desist. Stop doing what you’re doing [source] and do something else: learn that HE is GOD! Learn that HE is supreme over the nations. Learn that HE is supreme over the earth.

And learning that my Friends will be a refuge for sure!

ABBA, my prayer for Friends, Family, and Readers today is peace, Your Peace. Strength, Your Strength received in us. Wisdom, for sure Your wisdom and not our own. Courage, yes courage from You to give to each other. A respite, as is needed. Laughter, oh yes, ABBA, holy laughter; cause it to ring out in this dark world. And solutions, solutions to the many ails in our individual lives and the world in which we live. And it is in the Merits and Grace of our LORD and Savior Jesus (Yeshua), the Christ, that I make this petition.

It’s as Simple as That

17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 2 Corinthians 3:17 [source]

Liberty. Sweet Liberty. Who doesn’t want it?!

Lets refresh ourselves with the definition.

1. The condition of being free from confinement, servitude, or forced labor.

2. The condition of being free from oppressive restriction or control by a government or other power.

via liberty – definition of liberty by The Free Dictionary.

Now.
Where the Spirit of the LORD is, THERE is liberty.
Where?
Where the Spirit of the LORD is.
And who is the LORD?

19 So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.  Mark 16:19 [source]  (The next verse is sweet, sweet. I hope you will use the source link and read it.)

I draw certain inferences from this and I am confident they are valid.

1. Real, genuine, Holy Spirit filled people make wherever they are better, not worse. Not restrictive, not squashed, not kill-joys.

2. Remove Holy Spirit filled people and so goes LIBERTY.

It’s as simple as that.
