The Pastor (Roy Hill, First Baptist Church, Satsuma) asked a question this morning. Now I have a choice to ponder it and answer it or dismiss it. I’m still pondering. Which means this post might be short.
Question: What do you think GOD wants to do for you?
Notice he did not ask what do you think GOD will do for you, but what do you think GOD wants to do for you.
I am thinking that how I answer that perhaps will reveal more about me than it does about Him. How I answer I think will reveal how well I know Him at this place in my journey. How I answer will indicate my level of intimate fellowship with Him at this time in our journey together. Perhaps I’ll pitch out here an all spiritual response until I hear more specifics for me from Him.
Here’s what I know. He wants to do for me and with me all things that will transform me to the image of His Son. See 2 Corinthians 3:18HERE. And since the passage begins So ALL of us . . . this means YOU too. :)
I’m back for the second post of today and after a few minutes of reminiscing; actually, longer than I intended but hey it’s only the 4th day of the New Year.
So my post earlier this morning was Keep After It. By GOD’s grace I have. Some years and months better than others – a review will prove that. :)
Writing IDOK devotions as they were called back then began sometime in 2003; they were done by email then; later came the blogging. The White Stone’s first blog home was Blogspot; I have forgotten the first day there and after a time I moved to WordPress and we are still here. My Archives tell me March 26, 2007 was the first WordPress posting – that may be a bit misleading as it could easily be a post I pulled over from Blogspot; be that as it may be – we’ve been keeping after it for a while. It’s still too soon to know the final outcome of the good accomplished and if the LORD wills I’m willing to keep after it a while longer. :)
Perhaps you would like to visit the first blog post I have access to –HERE.
Just keep after it. Sometimes you are doing better than you think. See it through and perhaps when the job is done, you will have surprised yourself. In point, yesterday. Walk/run with my Little Girl. It was hilly. It was 4 miles. And I thought oh I am so slow. I was not eager to see my time per mile. I did not check it right away. But when I did. Wow! My Best Time Yet!
So keep after it, Friends. Whatever it is. You may be doing better than you think. :)
We are glad you are here; stay a while, look around, and be encouraged. We estimate there to be over 3,000 posts here at The White Stone Blog. Please know my hope is ALWAYS to help and NEVER harm. I have voiced many opinions and thoughts here since 2007 and by now I MAY NOT EVEN AGREE with all of them and some of my grammar and punctuation likely needs editing. But this is changeless: JESUS is our ONLY Savior and Hope. Do you KNOW Him?
