I am thinking of children as I read Deuteronomy 31:12 and 13.
12Assemble the people—men, women, children, and the foreigners within your gates—so that they may listen and learn to fear the LORD your God and to follow carefully all the words of this law. 13Then their children who do not know the law will listen and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as you live in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess.” source
Children left alone to find GOD alone is most sad to me and I think GOD is not pleased with parents who adopt the way of the evil one to not influence their children to choose GOD; who do not study Scripture for themselves, nor intentionally and consistently read and impart Scripture to their children. I think this from the verses above.
