The verse says in part: but to us who are being saved . . . I’ve been thinking about it today. Did you notice it says being saved? Not past tense but present tense participle. There’s a reason for that. It indicates ongoing actions. It expresses actions that are in progress at a specific time I’ve heard it said this way most of my life: we have been saved, we are being saved, and we shall yet be saved. Got that?
I get it this way. I have been saved (delivered) from the kingdom of darkness into GOD’s Kingdom of Light by the blood of JESUS The CHRIST. Presently, I am being saved from myself; my mind, body, and emotions are being transformed to practice holiness, and I shall be saved from the very presence of sin at the death of my mortal body and/or when JESUS returns for us. (Oh, by the way, all phases of Salvation, past, present, and future are by the Blood of JESUS The CHRIST.) So, tell me, is that good or what? And can you say the same?
Today. In this time that we are today, the Scripture is just as important as when it was penned, and today, we are commanded as the People of GOD to rightly handle the Word of Truth. It’s our mission, while we have time, to do our BEST. And what is best? Having our lives marked with earnest, conscientious seeking to see and KNOW GOD from the Scriptures so well that we can teach others about Him. This is for all GOD’s Children, not just a few.
Our sanctified imaginations, fueled by The WORD, give us hope and warning, respectively, of the beauty and horror that is to come.
I heard a message last week, one sentence has not left me. (If you would like to see the short video, send me a request and I will forward it to you.) For seven (7) years, Satan himself in the flesh will be the Ruler of this world. I hope that will sink in with you as it has (and still is) with me. In the flesh. On the throne of the world government. Will be RULER. He will CONTROL the people and all material substances of this planet. Satan! Ruler! No restraints!
Will this be in our lifetime? We don’t know, but it’s certainly looking like it could begin any day now. What then? It seems to me, our Trust in and knowledge of YESHUA will determine whether this knowledge brings us peace or turmoil.
