Not Just a Writing Prompt

Windows and sunshine.

I’m not kidding.
This very sight is one of the things for which I give thanks – often.
Not just today as a writing prompt. Even though it is.

How lavishly fortunate we are to have a place, a roof over our heads with walls and windows in all our rooms to let in that glorious light from the sun that warms and comforts us, that helps grow our foods, that gives us much needed Vitamin D to ward off diseases.

Today, we live in a place of extravagance, and yet with all our extravagance without sun, moon, air, and water – we soon would not be at all.

Could we today give thanks for the common things; things that we have closed our eyes to; things that we only miss when they are gone?

So. For what are YOU giving thanks today?

Just in case you are interested 48 times in the KJV we find give thanks referenced.
Here are a few and a link for the rest.

People

I had some sad thoughts this morning. Even so, I am grateful for the remedy.

People.

They don’t listen. They don’t hear. Fear has closed their ears and their eyes to truth.

They are so weary of information, they don’t want to read anymore. So they don’t.

They are so weary of the process they are just going along with whatever comes.

Strength, a will to stand, has been beaten out of them, so they just don’t try anymore.
They just do as they are told.

So what do we do for them when they no longer hear nor see?

We pray.

It may even mean for a season we close our mouths for the trying to convince them and open our hearts and our voices to FATHER on their behalf.
Name them before Him.
Name what they will not hear and ask Holy Spirit to open their hearts to hear and see truth before it is too late.

Amen and amen.

time is a Wasting

I am not a prophet.
Anything I understand about the future comes from The Word of GOD.  And in that understanding I know Eternity is GRAND for the saved but the time between here and then includes suffering

With my wee bit of discernment, I am reading the signs.
And with that, I grieve. I have family. People I love so much.  Dear ones who are not prepared for what is to come, near or far. Unprepared and, seemingly, unconcerned.

The verse I am about to give you is an APPLICATION. I am offering it as an illustration, please don’t misunderstand me here. An illustration NOT an interpretation.
Much is happening in this month of January, yet millions are oblivious.  They are like this:

1 Thessalonians 5:3  (NLT) When people are saying, “Everything is peaceful and secure,” then disaster will fall on them as suddenly as a pregnant woman’s labor pains begin. And there will be no escape. source

They have congratulated themselves with the pen and his entourage; thinking they are safe and protected. They are mistaken. The rank and file know not what they have done.
Persecution is coming: the first to be targeted is Christians (we have seen skirmishes already), but in time, others will also know the bitter sting of betrayal.

Just to be clear allow me to define the Christian whereof I speak.
I mean the man, woman, boy, or girl whose standards are found in Scripture. I mean people who have more than a form of godliness. I mean people who seek GOD for answers and for their thoughts and their actions. People who seek The LORD for how HE wants them to invest money, resources, and time. People who occupy themselves with Righteous living. People who will not be found ogling the ways of celebrities and the elites with adoration.

I write this to urge you to seek The LORD.
Ask HIM what HE wants YOU to do.
Let HIM prepare you to overcome.
Seek HIM now while you have time.
Time is a Wasting.

Nehemiah 8:10 (NKJV) 10 .  .  .   for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” source

Just a Thought

As the title says, Just a thought.

1 Thessalonians 2:18 Amplified Bible (AMP)
18 For we wanted to come to you—I, Paul, again and again [wanted to come], but Satan hindered us.   source

It is satan’s business, his agenda and his aim to keep us apart; Christians apart from other Christians for fellowship and encouragement and apart from the Undisciplined, so they will not be converted.
