Zero out of Six

I shared a picture on Facebook. This one. 317806956_508534574584912_2745246140430129741_n I shared it because such clichés may sound good to the people of this time but they are foolish and dangerous.

1 Listen to your heart.
Absolutely not!

3 Trust your gut.
Are you kidding?!

Proverbs 3:5  “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”  King James Version (KJV)

4 feel good about who you are.
Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

5 Happiness is what matters
Really?  Let’s see what GOD says.

Leviticus 20:7 Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.

1 Peter 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Romans 3:10 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:” King James Version (KJV)

Psalms 53:3 “Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” King James Version (KJV)

As you can see those clichés are powerless to transform a single soul. BUT GOD!

HE can make YOU new. HE can make YOU clean. HE can make YOU holy and by the way, the way to be HAPPY (as everyone wants) only happens when we are HOLY in position with GOD and learning by practice to live HOLY.  It’s a life-long process.  Yet more than a process, it’s an adventure — like none other!

Brand New

When was the last time you read Solomon’s Prayer as he was dedicating the Temple?
It read brand new to me today.
Here let me give you a link and read it for yourself.
Read it slowly. Let Holy Spirit speak something to you with it.

2 Chronicles 6:12-42

Yes. He prayed a while. So worth every word.

What Time Is It?

Second Monday of 2021.

Click. Click. Click. Time marches on. Year after year. For now.

How about a little reading this morning? When you read it put some soul in it. Read it like it means something to you.

2 Chronicles 15  (NKJV)
1 Now the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded.

And he went out to meet Asa, and said to him: “Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin. The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.
For a long time Israel has been without the true God, without a teaching priest, and without law;
but when in their trouble they turned to the Lord God of Israel, and sought Him, He was found by them.
And in those times there was no peace to the one who went out, nor to the one who came in, but great turmoil was on all the inhabitants of the lands.
So nation was destroyed by nation, and city by city, for God troubled them with every adversity.
But you, be strong and do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded!”
And when Asa heard these words and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and removed the abominable idols from all the land of Judah and Benjamin and from the cities which he had taken in the mountains of Ephraim; and he restored the altar of the Lord that was before the vestibule of the Lord
Then he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and those who dwelt with them from Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon, for they came over to him in great numbers from Israel when they saw that the Lord his God was with him. source  Emphasis – mine.

Removing the idols is not enough — the altar must be rebuilt.
