Mind-Boggling

I am offering you this morning two of my posts from Facebook.

Scripture! So up to date!

Genesis 41:1 At the end of two years, Pharaoh had a dream: . . .

Do you know what is significant about that to me this morning?
In chapter 40, Joseph asked the Chief Cupbearer to remember him to the Pharaoh when he was restored to his position.
He didn’t.
So, here in Chapter 41, Joseph has been waiting in prison for 2 years, I imagine praying too, for an audience with the Pharaoh.
Two years – no word AND THEN.
I hope you will read it for yourself.

See verse 14. “. . . and they brought him quickly out of the dungeon. . . “

Another note:
It hurts my brain to think about the Eternity of GOD (you know like He has always been, with no beginning, no end, and always will be) but I am so grateful that HE IS.

That HE is NEVER wrong, never late tending to me, never unloving, always perfectly just, and never surprised by anything BUT HE can be PLEASED with us and by us.

We can bring DELIGHT to HIM.
Mind-bogglingly Amazing!!

That’s it. Gotta run.

Holy hugs and prayers,
Kathie

First Saturday

Just for fun before I retire for the evening.

Here we are the first Saturday night of 2024.
I’ve enjoyed our week.
Daughters, Great-Grands, Grands, Friends, Work, a new chicken recipe, soap that makes my hands smell good, a catch-up phone conversation with a forever friend, reading in Genesis that is more alive than ever before. Yep. A good week.

Oh, the chicken recipe, yes.

(350 degrees for 50 minutes)

Holy hugs with prayer,
Kathie

New Year’s Eve

A favored day leading us to a favored day – New Year’s Day.

A brand new canvas!
Clean and clear. Not a mark on it!
Until the day dawns and then we start splattering it with thoughts, words, and deeds!

A Piece of Stone

And the Virgin brought forth her firstborn son.
A cave and a piece of stone chiseled out for food or perhaps water for lambs.
From His mother’s womb to her loving arms to a slab of stone — it was the best they could do for Him.

Thirty-three and a half or so years quickly passed and she was there to watch His body placed on another cold, hard piece of stone, this one hewed for a wealthy man. A borrowed tomb.
I am so thankful, He wouldn’t need it long.

Mark 16: 1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.  And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.  And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?  And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.  And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.  And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.  But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.   source

I thoroughly believe Mary all the days of her life did the best she could by her Son, especially on that day whatever day it was that she also KNEW HE was her LORD.
I would that we all do our best by HIM, that is by knowing HIM as our LORD.

Life is hard, BUT GOD is good!
