The Pastor (Roy Hill, First Baptist Church, Satsuma) asked a question this morning. Now I have a choice to ponder it and answer it or dismiss it. I’m still pondering. Which means this post might be short.
Question: What do you think GOD wants to do for you?
Notice he did not ask what do you think GOD will do for you, but what do you think GOD wants to do for you.
I am thinking that how I answer that perhaps will reveal more about me than it does about Him. How I answer I think will reveal how well I know Him at this place in my journey. How I answer will indicate my level of intimate fellowship with Him at this time in our journey together. Perhaps I’ll pitch out here an all spiritual response until I hear more specifics for me from Him.
Here’s what I know. He wants to do for me and with me all things that will transform me to the image of His Son. See 2 Corinthians 3:18HERE. And since the passage begins So ALL of us . . . this means YOU too. :)
Just keep after it. Sometimes you are doing better than you think. See it through and perhaps when the job is done, you will have surprised yourself. In point, yesterday. Walk/run with my Little Girl. It was hilly. It was 4 miles. And I thought oh I am so slow. I was not eager to see my time per mile. I did not check it right away. But when I did. Wow! My Best Time Yet!
So keep after it, Friends. Whatever it is. You may be doing better than you think. :)
Days have been full of doing and being and I have missed sharing with you all. At the moment Hubby is waiting for the Heisman Trophy winner announcement; Army lost, not by much but still a loss, so I’m disenchanted with football this evening. :) I have a Hallmark movie dvr-ing; I can start watching soon and skip the commercials. I bit the bullet and downloaded Windows 10 (again – working out better this time) so I’ve had some hours of fun and frustration playing with that. Sunday School study has been sweet today. One of the GRANDS was here for a visit for a couple of days and that was good. Y’all really care about all this, huh? :)
One more night to light the Menorah. We are not Jewish but they have my heart; this is our second year lightening the candles. I am ignorant of so much of the Jewish Heritage but I am eternally grateful to them for Yeshua!
I hope your Christmas decorating, shopping, baking, visiting and the like has been pleasant, even down right happy. And so with that I will leave you with a you tube – I am hearing the sounds of Mary Poppins steaming down the hall to my desk.:)
We are glad you are here; stay a while, look around, and be encouraged. We estimate there to be over 3,000 posts here at The White Stone Blog. Please know my hope is ALWAYS to help and NEVER harm. I have voiced many opinions and thoughts here since 2007 and by now I MAY NOT EVEN AGREE with all of them and some of my grammar and punctuation likely needs editing. But this is changeless: JESUS is our ONLY Savior and Hope. Do you KNOW Him?
