I come to you today with an invitation. An invitation to read Psalm 86. For a link and easy access to the Text, clickHERE.
It’s a prayer of David’s recorded for us, for us to pray too; for us to read and fill our souls with strength and courage and just an all over sense HE LOVES ME!
This is the verse that sent me here to you: 7 On the day of my trouble I am calling on you, for you will answer me. [source] and this is my note to myself, actually to us. :)
On the day. On the day of my trouble. I will not wait. I will not wait to call on You ABBA. I will not first go to anyone else. To You I will come immediately with my troubles! And I will come first to You, ABBA, because I know You will answer me.
That’s what David prayed. We can pray it too! We just did!
The Pastor (Roy Hill, First Baptist Church, Satsuma) asked a question this morning. Now I have a choice to ponder it and answer it or dismiss it. I’m still pondering. Which means this post might be short.
Question: What do you think GOD wants to do for you?
Notice he did not ask what do you think GOD will do for you, but what do you think GOD wants to do for you.
I am thinking that how I answer that perhaps will reveal more about me than it does about Him. How I answer I think will reveal how well I know Him at this place in my journey. How I answer will indicate my level of intimate fellowship with Him at this time in our journey together. Perhaps I’ll pitch out here an all spiritual response until I hear more specifics for me from Him.
Here’s what I know. He wants to do for me and with me all things that will transform me to the image of His Son. See 2 Corinthians 3:18HERE. And since the passage begins So ALL of us . . . this means YOU too. :)
Just keep after it. Sometimes you are doing better than you think. See it through and perhaps when the job is done, you will have surprised yourself. In point, yesterday. Walk/run with my Little Girl. It was hilly. It was 4 miles. And I thought oh I am so slow. I was not eager to see my time per mile. I did not check it right away. But when I did. Wow! My Best Time Yet!
So keep after it, Friends. Whatever it is. You may be doing better than you think. :)
We are glad you are here; stay a while, look around, and be encouraged. We estimate there to be over 3,000 posts here at The White Stone Blog. Please know my hope is ALWAYS to help and NEVER harm. I have voiced many opinions and thoughts here since 2007 and by now I MAY NOT EVEN AGREE with all of them and some of my grammar and punctuation likely needs editing. But this is changeless: JESUS is our ONLY Savior and Hope. Do you KNOW Him?
