The Pastor’s message began with verse 13. I started with verse 11 and as I read I thought of you.
Just two verses and just what someone needs today, including me.
11 We pray that you will be continually strengthened with all the power that comes from his glorious might; so that you will be able to persevere and be patient in any situation, joyfully
This tendered and encouraged my heart so much this morning that I’m sharing it with you. Perhaps you have seen it already on Facebook; either way, new or not, I hope it will give you encouragement. All ABBA’s Little Girls (and Little Boys) need strength for the next step.
Well, it has been more than a week since I have posted here… Yikes! I don’t know that I have an acceptable excuse — so I’ll just leave that thread right there.
I am here this morning because I read a blog post from a new to me blog address that I think is so on point and so needed and so crucial in my own life that it just might fill a need for some of you. So if you will clickHERE and read.
The blog post is entitledLay Aside the Weight of Irritability and its author isJon Bloom. Forgive me if I sound (well a good word escapes right now), I am identifying with and this post nails my heart so well — a woman could have written it!!! :) That sounded bad, didn’t it? Perhaps Jon will take that as high praise because it is! I am exceedingly grateful to have ‘happened’ upon his blessed offering. Perhaps when you read you will feel the same.
I am wishing you a Saturday kissed and crowned with victory!
I am about to tell off on myself. Risky. But here goes.
Cooked pasta drained in a colander.
Have you ever noticed the starch left behind takes a little more pressure to clean than some other residues? I noticed. Profoundly so today.
Water was hot and sudsy and I was set on moving quickly. Colander in hand, quick rub, set in the draining basket, oops missed a spot. Back in the water, another quick wipe, back in the basket and what! I blurted aloud, “You’re about to make me mad!” Simultaneously the word board of my mind read: “No. That would be YOUR choice (not the colander’s).”
We are glad you are here; stay a while, look around, and be encouraged. We estimate there to be over 3,000 posts here at The White Stone Blog. Please know my hope is ALWAYS to help and NEVER harm. I have voiced many opinions and thoughts here since 2007 and by now I MAY NOT EVEN AGREE with all of them and some of my grammar and punctuation likely needs editing. But this is changeless: JESUS is our ONLY Savior and Hope. Do you KNOW Him?
