How’s Your Tree?

Our Friday post may be short and hopefully sweet :) . As I begin, shortly I’ll be off for a night out with Little Girl and some other friends — going to see Patsy Clairmont at Bay Community Church.  I am expecting it to be a holy blast!

Home again.

Patsy talked about trees tonight – said she wanted to shake our trees.  I think she did.

My Daddy said it, I’ve said it, and now I’ve heard Patsy say it: “It is not for us to judge one another, but we are commanded to be fruit inspectors. And it is up to us to see to it that our trees bear much fruit to nourish those living in community with us.

Psalm 1: (Amplified Bible)
2 But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night.
3 And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].
4 Not so the wicked [those disobedient and living without God are not so]. But they are like the chaff [worthless, dead, without substance] which the wind drives away.

From this Text we are assured that we will yield rich fruit if our desires are set upon JESUS; to know Him, to love Him, to abide in Him and to meditate upon His Word day and night.

So how’s your tree? Got a crop of good fruit growing?

Jeremiah 17:(Amplified Bible)
7 [Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is.
8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit.

Y’all have a holy, happy weekend – don’t neglect gathering with sisters and brothers in CHRIST for corporate worship.

Blessed to Bless,

Busy and Blessed

It’s been a busy, blessed weekend. Music and messages at Satsuma First were so worth being there!

Supper at a local eating establishment was yummy and our waitress was a sweetheart – Victoria. We will look for her when we visit again and as the HOLY SPIRIT leads remember her in prayer.

This is how the week is shaping up: two days this week pitching in to help with some meal preparations, at least one Easter dress to start working on, one day of GRANDS pick up, a field trip on Thursday, Pasty Clairmont Thursday night, Friday night and Saturday – Priscilla Shirer simulcast.  What a week! And that’s just the stuff I know about.

Did I say busy and blessed?!

Two verses to ponder today. No doubt I’ve shared them here before as they are my life verses – verses that have saved my life many times. In times of trauma that I thought I could not bear and certainly did not understand, I kept these verses close. Written on index cards and posted at my kitchen sink, bathroom mirror, in my pocket — wherever I needed to be reminded:

Psalm 145: (New American Standard Bible)
17The LORD is righteous in all His ways And kind in all His deeds.
18The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.
via Ps 145:17 -18 – Passage Lookup – New American Standard Bible – BibleGateway.com.

And He still is!

PRAYING FOR THESE

Thank You for songs, thank You for music, ABBA.  Thank You for the song that I hear playing in my head even now — Our God Reigns.  And You do. Thank You. Thank You for recording Psalm 145: 17 and 18 for me and for every other dear One who has and will be comforted and strengthened by it. I know it’s true. I know because You said it and because for me You have never been wrong and You have never been unkind in every  thing You have done or allowed. You are right and You are kind in all You do. You are near to help, save, rescue and deliver every soul, not just some but every soul who calls upon You in truth. I have said it before and I believe it still, You can work with honesty.  It may be ugly and it may be ‘bloody’ but You come and bare You Holy Arm to lift up those that will just be honest with You.  Thank You, ABBA. In JESUS Name, thank You. Amen and amen.

Blessed to bless,
Kathie

Flat Out … :)

Hmmmm.    A blank page.

I’ve been thinking I want something light and entertaining for our Friday time together — where’s that humor my friends tell me I have when I need it?!! Especially when it’s 8:38 PM!!

I’ve had fun today.  But if I told you what was fun about, it could be construed as bragging.  So I’ll just share parts.

Truth is doing life with JESUS is just flat out fun!

Texting with my niece, seeing a picture of her ‘new Friend’ all the way from South Africa; hearing good news that my grand-nephew is going to church now.

Meeting new friends in Blog Land — that actually live in the Philippines.  She has a well setting view of Heaven. I enjoyed reading her work today.  Crown of Beauty Perhaps you’d like to visit too.

Chicken vegetable soup and cornbread for supper.  Pretty fine stuff, if I do say so myself.

I’ve spoken true words over myself today — a fine thing you know to speak true words to yourself.

I scratched the back of an old dog and he thoroughly enjoyed it and I enjoyed pleasing him.

The digits on the bathroom scale are going down.  :)

A pot of green tea in the afternoon helps curb the appetite — 3 bite size cookies are a sweet treat.

The house is quiet — no intruding television — the hum of a ceiling fan: gives a Girl reasons to smile.

A beloved hubby who is just flat out a good man.

Flat out — I’ve come to just flat out like those two words.   :)

Okay. Time to reign this in.

Psalm 108: (New American Standard Bible)
1 My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing, I will sing praises, even with my soul.
2 Awake, harp and lyre; I will awaken the dawn!
3 I will give thanks to You, O LORD, among the peoples, And I will sing praises to You among the nations.
4 For Your lovingkindness is great above the heavens, And Your truth reaches to the skies.
5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, And Your glory above all the earth.

PRAYING FOR THESE

Thank You, ABBA, for the privilege and the responsibility of reviewing and praying for those on our list. Thank You for seeing each name, each soul; thank You for meeting their needs. Thank You for silly times, thank You for allowing us to do life with You. I pray for each Dear IDOK that they will enjoy Your Presence today; that their love for You will be strengthened today and this day will not pass without each expressing to You that You are Awesome and worthy of praise. And we remember our IDOK Troops for safety, protection, blessings of peace and hope. And speaking of peace and hope — I pray for the peace of Israel.

Many other matters too, without giving them  specific voice here, still we bring them to You; thank You for hearing; thank You for answering in JESUS Name. Amen and amen.

Until Then + + +
Kathie
