Anyhow

It was not a rest-filled night. And this morning my first Scripture thoughts were this: My Grace is sufficient for thee.

9 but he told me, “My grace is enough for you, for my power is brought to perfection in weakness.” Therefore, I am very happy to boast about my weaknesses, in order that the Messiah’s power will rest upon me.

Do you know the context?
Paul had an infirmity. It troubled him. He was weary of it. He wanted it to be gone!
Perhaps akin to night sweats and hot flashes. Anybody relate?

I don’t know why Father physically heals some and not others. I don’t know why some suffer much and others do not. But I do know if we surrender as Paul did here we will find Father’s grace enough that we can glory anyhow.

I recall David Jeremiah said there are two things he remembers in dark seasons: God is good and God loves me.

I think that is key to successfully living with bitter conditions and hard stuff.

God is Good
and
God loves ME.

I shall think about that today.

Thank You, Father, thank You. I pray for us all to glory in Your Power shown perfect in our weaknesses.
You are good and You do love us. For sure. For sure. Thank You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Sweet Assurance

Isaiah 56 is particularly sweet to me this morning. I was once a foreigner but in His amazing grace ADONAI has invited me in and made covenant with me; even as He has with perhaps YOU. Enjoy, be strengthened today, I pray.

6 “And the foreigners who join themselves to Adonai

to serve him, to love the name of Adonai,

and to be his workers,

all who keep Shabbat and do not profane it,

and hold fast to my covenant,

7 I will bring them to my holy mountain

and make them joyful in my house of prayer;

their burnt offerings and sacrifices

will be accepted on my altar;

for my house will be called

a house of prayer for all peoples.”

Cease Entertaining

May I quickly share a few verses of Scripture? I picked up my Bible and it fell to Romans 12 and my eyes met with verse 20 and I backed up to 19 for context. Please read with me.

19 Never seek revenge, my friends; instead, leave that to God’s anger; for in the Tanakh it is written,

Adonai says, ‘Vengeance is my responsibility; I will repay.’”

20 On the contrary,

“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
For by doing this, you will heap
fiery coals [of shame] on his head.”

21 Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.  [source]

Vengeance is my responsibility; I will repay, He said. And we know our GOD cannot lie; not will not but CANNOT. He would cease to be GOD if He ever lied and, Friends, that ain’t :) gonna happen. Aren’t you glad? So let us leave vengeance and pay back to Him; but as we leave it to Him let us NOT sit and wait for pay back to come so we can rejoice.  No. No. No. That is not His command to us.  Rather, let us move forward as He has commanded and do good to those who do evil to us. And if today all the good you can do is pray for them and not do the evil to them that you would like, by all means do that. Pray for them and cease entertaining that payback.

This is not an easy passage, ABBA, but I am grateful to read it; grateful for Your promise and grateful for Your instructions as to what You expect my conduct to be. Thank You. And thank You for the grace and strength to obey, all that is left to add is my willingness and I pray even for help to be willing. Thank You, ADONAI.  And, ABBA, it is rare that JT would be sick but he is today and I am asking You to heal him today.  And there are others that are always on my mind; Jamie for one. Thank You that You are fully worthy of our trust and You are able and You do all things well; so we trust You. And thank You for reminders. So I pray for Israel. Thank You for that blessed Nation and I ask for their protection and the subduing of all their enemies; all praise and petitions here offered in the Name of YESHUA, JESUS the CHRIST.

Count On IT!

These words are hanging with me this morning:

25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever.

This comes from I Peter chapter 1 and they were first written to Believers dispersed from their homeland to far away places and this Word of encouragement reached them:

25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever.

What was life like for them far from home? Can you imagine?

What is your life like? Perhaps you are not far from home, but home is far from you? 25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. Hold firmly today to the WORDs the LORD has already spoken to you.

What has He spoken to you? Has He said You are His and He is Yours? Has He said He will never leave You nor forsake You? Has He said He has plans for good for You?

Another verse came to mind so I looked for it. The one that says His Arm is not shortened that He cannot save.  It is found in Isaiah 59, verse 1. And verse 1 we so love!

Behold, the Lord‘s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

And it is true and we are grateful that it is true. But what about verse 2 and following? We don’t want to read those.

But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

My point? I have good news and bad news!

25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever.

What matters is which side of that WORD are we on?

Have our sins separated us or are we confident He will never leave us or forsake us?

His WORD is true and endures forever. His Word NEVER, NEVER, NEVER fails!

Count on it!

ABBA, I am grateful Your Word never fails, I am grateful Your Arm is not shortened and You are able to save; I am grateful that You saved the likes of me; I am grateful that You never leave me nor forsake me; I am grateful that my sins have been taken away by You LORD YESHUA and I am no longer separated from You; I am grateful that I have trusted You; thank You for giving me the gift of faith; I pray that anyone coming here who has not received Your gift of faith to them will receive that gift and use that gift to believe and receive Your gift of Salvation and Eternal Life found ONLY in Your One and Only Son JESUS the Christ, the Messiah and Savior of people. Thank You that Your Word endures forever; You are forever faithful to Your Word in grace and justice. Thank You. And, ABBA, I come this morning with others: Jamie, Pam, Carolyn, Terri, Kerri, and Others and I pray for strength for them; for healing and pain relief; for a blessed birthday celebration; for successful textbook, perfect surgery and recovery; for restoration and reconciliation; for repentance and forgiveness; for wisdom and direction; for open doors and closed doors; for safety and protection; for deliverance from bondage of many kinds; for profitable work; for grace and mercy; for the will to do right; for daily bread and household expenses; all of us fit in here somewhere, ABBA, and I trust You to help us all because You have given us Yourself, You will surely give us all things that pertain to living here and now. Thank You, ABBA. Thank You.
