17 But the mercy of Adonai on those who fear him is from eternity past to eternity future, and his righteousness extends to his children’s children, 18 provided they keep his covenant and remember to follow his precepts.
This is for me this morning, but I will share with you just in case you need it too. I’ll give it in context and then pull a nugget or two for today’s arsenal.
6 Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that at the righttime he may lift you up.
7 Throw all your anxieties upon him, because he cares about you.
8 Stay sober, stay alert! Your enemy, the Adversary, stalks about like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
9 Stand against him, firm in your trust, knowing that your brothers throughout the world are going through the same kinds of suffering.
10 You will have to suffer only a little while; after that, God, who is full of grace, the one who called you to his eternal glory in union with the Messiah, will himself restore, establish and strengthen you and make you firm.
11 To him be the power forever and ever. Amen.

Mighty Hand – ABBA’s Hand is mighty today! Take that and apply it where you need it!
Stay sober! — Don’t become intoxicated today, or drunk on the dregs of this world; on the challenges, the troubles, the sins, the pleasures, the to do lists, the anything this world has to offer or shove at us today; don’t become inebriated with stuff today.
Stand firm in your trust – that ABBA is good and that He loves YOU.
And if not today, soon
will HIMSELF restore, establish and strengthen you and make you firm.
