Just yesterday a dear sister in the LORD and I were talking, and she reminded me that we have been grafted in (see Romans 11:11-31) and as I read Scripture when Zion is addressed, depending on the context, I can take that personally. This morning, there was Zion.
Look with me at a verse in Isaiah, chapter 40, verse 9.
9 Go up on a high mountain, O Zion, herald of good news. Raise your voice loudly, O Jerusalem, herald of good news. Lift it up, do not be afraid! Say to the cities of Judah, “Here is your God!”Link
I am a herald and what a message!
GOD loves you and He has forgiveness for you and deliverance from sin — will you receive Him and His gift to you?
In a nutshell that is what we Heralds are to herald.
It’s not just good news, it’s the best news ever! So what do Heralds look like . . . got a mirror?

Thinking about some over-the-years observations today.
Children. Beloved, wonderful, treasured children. Often as young as 2 or 3 when given a choice of digital screening, more times than not will choose secular-based (worldly, carnal) entertainment videos rather than JESUS-Centered programming.
Only when they are continuously restricted to gentle, JESUS-honoring videos will they choose such videos in those unguarded moments when the Governess has stepped away.
Peace, goodness, kindness, helping, and Golden Rule leaning are not inbred into our little darlings. These character-building qualities must be learned, beginning in the womb — and how will they learn if they are not taught? And how shall they be taught without a teacher?
Parent first, then others. We think giving children choices is good and it is. They need to learn to make age-appropriate choices. And they do it well when they have first been trained: this is good; this is not good and this will please JESUS and that will not please JESUS.
I wonder as adults do we know what pleases JESUS and what does not? Do we care if our entertainment choices please Him?
