Shall We?

Romans 8:35.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

Okay. What if we considered this verse in this way:
Trouble. Shall we allow happenings and circumstances to cause us to doubt, cause us to pull away from KNOWING we are loved by GOD, always?
Distress. Shall we allow distress over the lack of a desired parking space, or a complete mix-up of our food order, pull us away from praising/fellowshipping with the LORD?
Persecution. Shall we allow the loss of a job or a deserved promotion to bring us to doubt His love and provisions for us?
Famine. Shall we allow being hungry to cause us to become hangry?
Nakedness. Shall we allow the lack of funds to buy that much-desired new outfit to inject feelings in us that we must be a red-haired stepchild to GOD this week?
Danger. Shall we allow being afraid, being in a dark, unfamiliar, precarious place or circumstance to incite fear, disbelief, and panic in us?
Sword. Shall we allow the threat of death by cancer, a blood disorder, or any other horrific happening to cause us to turn our faces from the ONE who provides us with hope and eternal life?

Shall we now compare these aforementioned Western-Life Experiences to the life the Apostle Paul was experiencing when he penned these words?

I’m just telling you what came. It’s not any easier for me to digest than it is for you.

Holy hugs, Kathie

Almost Here!

Tomorrow is the day!

We here at The White Stone Blog hope you enjoy not only tomorrow but many, many days to come, celebrating, and giving thanks for the abundant blessings we have in CHRIST JESUS!

Without a strong prompting, I’ll be taking a few more days off from posting, but I plan to return on Monday, December 1.  On that day, Jerry and I will have our Jesse tree devotional readings ready from December 1 to the 25th.

Unwrapping the Greatest Gift: A Family Celebration of Christmas

Until then, Holy hugs, Kathie

We are glad you are here; stay a while, look around, and be encouraged. We estimate there to be over 3,000 posts here at The White Stone Blog. Please know my hope is ALWAYS to help and NEVER harm. I have voiced many opinions and thoughts here since 2007 and by now I MAY NOT EVEN AGREE with all of them and some of my grammar and punctuation likely needs editing. But this is changeless: JESUS is our ONLY Savior and Hope. Do you KNOW Him?
