On the Heels of

my earlier post, we surely all need what Elaine Olsen of Peace for the Journey had to say.  Click Here.

And to encourage you to click above a couple of excerpts:

Oh to be a woman of faith who doesn’t run from the darkness but, instead, who believes God to see her safely through till morning. A “kept” woman—kept safe, kept warm, kept closely, kept wholly by the Father who draws his children closely to his heart and who uses their darkness as the growing field of a tremendous, unshakeable trust.

Today, I’m a witness. You are as well. We’ve made it through another night, and our candles are still burning. You may not be aware of it, but you have a few neighbors—a friend, a family member, a co-worker, a stranger—who are looking through their windows into yours this morning to make sure that your lamplight is on. Your light is important to them. It shines as a testimony to a night’s rest, a night’s trust, a night’s growth, a night’s vigilance by a loving God. He kept you then; he keeps you still.

There are prayers to pray! Praying (PFT) is breathing for Christians. Breathe RED!

Random and Rambling

Remember my So Be It post?
In case you missed it, click HERE.
As I was catching up on some reading in my Journey Magazine for last Friday, I read these words: “When you really care for someone you speak the truth, even when it’s difficult.”
Would y’all consider that a reminder and more confirmation?
I’m still praying for those who said yes for prayer in this regard.

It has been Monday all day! :)

I really do like the new lay out of The White Stone.  If you read by email, you don’t get the benefit of seeing the web page.  But you can! Just click the title of today’s post near the top in the body of your email and that will direct you to the website.  :)

Tonight’s  supper is vegetable beef soup — just some Thompson trivia!

Truthfully, I’m not in much of a writing mood today; but I’m trying to get computer time done before my beloved gets home – not that he minds but just thinking it’s not too late in this new year to practice some good habits.  The FlyLady would be proud! Yep! still hanging out with the FlyLady. Some days I fly better than others. But my sink’s shiny before I go to bed each night. :)

One more word and this one is from ABBA I am sure. It would do us well to meditate upon it this Tuesday or any day:

James 1:5 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Day 24 — Daughters

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it.

I am thankful for daughters who have learned well. Daughters who have committed themselves to JESUS so much so that now when their mother has a flesh fit, they know just what to say. Daughters who love The WORD and who can and do quote it back to their Momma. GOD IS SO GOOD!!

Happy Thanksgiving, dear IDOKs!!
