What Things

Day 27
339 remaining after today.

I visit other blogs, not as often as I envision I should. I did that today, this one: Blessed Unravelling. Wendy Munsell. Her post today was Called to be Brave. Perhaps you’d like to read it too.

One particular verse Wendy gave me today sparked and so I am writing.

37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. [source]

In all these things. And there I stopped my note taking and came here.

In all these things. What things? And how many what things?
All.
All?
All!

How many what things can you name? And when you name them what else does the Text say?

we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us

We overwhelmingly conquer.
We conquer?

We conquer overwhelmingly!
We overwhelmingly conquer  THROUGH HIM!

Though Him, that One that we are in covenant relationship with, JESUS the Messiah, we overwhelming conquer ALL what things!

This is helping, loving and doing my soul some good today!
That some good today is said slowly with some Southern oomph, if you know what I mean.

I was going to hash some of my what things here but now it doesn’t seem necessary. :)

Single-Hearted

Day 26. 340 Remaining.

11 Adonai, teach me your way,
so that I can live by your truth;
make me single-hearted,
so that I can fear your name.
12 I will thank you, Adonai my God,
with my whole heart;
and I will glorify your name forever.
13 For your grace toward me is so great!
You have rescued me from the lowest part of Sh’ol. [source]

Make me single-hearted.  A request I understand. A request that I make as well. A single-hearted soul married to the Son of GOD. Single-hearted; having a heart for GOD alone as LORD and Ruler of the soul; living in a covenant relationship with the Son of GOD. What could be better? What could better serve the Body of Christ than this? May it be so!

You have rescued me from the lowest part of Sh’ol.

That He has! Can I get an amen?!

On the Day

I come to you today with an invitation. An invitation to read Psalm 86. For a link and easy access to the Text, click HERE.

It’s a prayer of David’s recorded for us, for us to pray too; for us to read and fill our souls with strength and courage and just an all over sense HE LOVES ME!

This is the verse that sent me here to you:
On the day of my trouble I am calling on you, for you will answer me. [source] and this is my note to myself, actually to us. :)

On the day. On the day of my trouble. I will not wait. I will not wait to call on You ABBA. I will not first go to anyone else. To You I will come immediately with my troubles! And I will come first to You, ABBA, because I know You will answer me.

That’s what David prayed. We can pray it too! We just did!

Inspiration or Not

I wish I had something witty and fun and helpful to place on this page. It takes inspiration for me to write and today I’m not so inspired. I know why. It is only in this moment that I have quieted myself enough to sit, let alone write. We’ve been putting the foyer back together since JT laid the new floor. img_6184He still has shoe molding to paint and put down but we have freshly painted walls and our Children and Grands’ pictures are back in new places so all is well with me!  img_6185

All around our world, meaning our kids and their necks of the woods too, we range from 42 degrees to the coldest spot of 23 degrees; some of us have snow, Snow Babiessome rain, some clouds; but we’ve all got love. How heavenly is that?!

I have a Sunday School lesson to prep for and a women’s conference tomorrow to attend, one of those last-minute invites that seems too good to say no to, with a dear friend. JT said not to worry, he’d find something to do. :)

So guess I better get to the books so I can share the WORD with dear friends on Sunday and supper time cooking is not far away today.

Well, not much inspiration here but I did get to say hello and that means a lot to me. :)
