IDOK DEVOTION FOR THURSDAY, AUGUST 27, 2009

I’m getting excited here! Beth Moore simulcast begins Friday night. I have my ticket to attend at North Mobile Baptist Church in Saraland; hope to see some of you there.

Forgive me if I don’t get it exactly the way she said it, but this Wednesday’s with Beth gave me this: “Want to live the good life, then live to do some good?” She said she worked with some folks doing relief after hurricane Katrina and most of them were retired but she said there was not an old one in the bunch, not even with gray hair were they old because they desired for as long as they lived to do some good. Is that great or what? Do some good today.

Acts 10: 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Is God with us? Has He appointed us? Has He anointed us? Then we can do some good today! No, we are not Jesus but we are His Representatives.

12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

RE: Charles David York, was removed from IDOK prayer list he needs to be back on big time as he has stage 4 cancer and back in the hospital for the 4th time and it does not look any better. it does look as if it would do good for us to ask FATHER for pain relief. thanks roy

ABBA, By Your Grace and Your Anointing on us we shall do some good today for Your Name sake alone, not for ours. And, ABBA, the news on Wayne is beautiful! We are so grateful. Thank You. Thank You. And as Roy has asked we pray for pain relief for David and we pray that even in this stage of cancer that David will finish his race well. Encourage Roy with peace and strength as he ministers to David. Thank You for the good report today regarding Elaine; not a report that doctors expected, so glad You surprised them. Thank You. These good reports delight us; we are encouraged to ask for more good reports for the others listed here. So many, LORD, so many and we pray for each one of them for their strength, for courage, for hope, for faith, for unwavering love and trust and for practical helps and people to stand by and funds to become available; whatever each individual needs we ask in Jesus Name. We pray too for our IDOK Troops to be protected in spirit, soul and body today. We pray for Israel, for peace and safety and for wisdom and discernment as they face enemies all around. We pray for America that You will raise up Your saints all over this Nation to boldly say and do the right things.
